  • Patent number: 10039372
Abstract: A height adjustable desk can include a work surface; and at least one leg assembly connected to the work surface. The at least one leg assembly can include: a first member; and a second member moveable relative to the first member along a longitudinal axis; and a counterbalance mechanism connected to the desk and configured to counteract a force exerted on the work surface. The counterbalance mechanism can include: a wheel; a gas spring having a cylinder and a moveable piston; a wheel moveably connected to the gas spring; and the tension member is connected to the leg assembly.

  • Patent number: 9140405
Abstract: Some embodiments provide a pivot mechanism and/or system that includes a support member defining a cavity and an extension member at least partially located within the cavity. In some cases one or more inner surfaces of the cavity can provide one or more pivots defining multiple pivot axes about which the extension member is generally pivotable through corresponding pivot ranges. The extent of the pivot ranges can be defined by the cavity within the support member. In some cases cooperating clamp members engage the extension member and the support member to retain the extension member within the cavity. The clamp members may also include sliding surfaces that slidingly engage with the support member to provide frictional resistance to pivoting movement of the extension member. Electronic display pivoting and positioning systems are also provided as are methods for positioning and pivoting electronic displays.

  • Publication number: 20130068916
Abstract: A stand useful for supporting one or more electronic displays. A stand useful for allowing one or more displays to be positioned at a wide variety of angles relative to a support surface. A stand that allows for the displays to be positioned at relatively extreme inclined angles. A stand useful for allowing an electronic display to be positioned closer to or away from a user while the angle is being adjusted. Methods of using such stands.
