  • Patent number: 8069018
Abstract: A method for modeling fluid depletion in a reservoir is disclosed. A map is divided into cells. For each of the cells a value is stored that is based at least in part on a physical characteristic of the cell. At least one cell that contains a depletion location is identified along with a depletion amount corresponding to that location. An amount of walkers associated with the depletion location is determined. For each walker, a plurality of steps are calculated with each step to an adjacent cell. Each walker starts in the cell containing the depletion location associated with that walker. The visits of all the walkers are recorded by cell. The fluid depletion of each cell is then assessed based at least in part on the number of walker visits for each cell.

  • Patent number: 7996198
Abstract: Methods, computer programs, and information handling systems for modeling one or more reservoirs are disclosed. The method uses one or more well logs, each for a well at a location and each including one or more Relative amount of Small Size Range of the Size Spectrum of Clastic Particles (RSSRSS) values versus depth. The method includes for one or more well logs: identifying one or more facies units based on RSSRSS values, determining a thickness of one or more facies units. The method includes determining a facies type of one or more facies units, categorizing one or more facies units, and connecting one or more facies units to create a reservoir model.

  • Patent number: 6701806
Abstract: A machine for clamping material to be fastened and automatically installing screws has been disclosed through a method of a self loading barrel that also aligns the screw to be installed thus relieving the operator of the strain of holding an unstable screw in place during the driving phase. This machine also automatically provides the force needed to keep the fastener from stripping at the head driver connection point through its unique design and also relieving the operator of much of the work related strain associated with these operations. This tool also provides another benefit in its design by automatically clamping the material during the fastening operation, that would normally have to be done separately with another tool. Another embodiment permits single loading of fasteners into the barrel.

  • Patent number: 5779324
Abstract: A hydraulic control system configured for use with a towed vehicle hydraulic brake system controls the pressure of the hydraulic fluid provided to the brake as a function of an operator-selected input. A hydraulic pressure control manifold is coupled between a pump and the towed vehicle brake and controls the pressure of the hydraulic fluid supplied to the brake with a plurality of pressure relief check valves interconnected in a parallel hydraulic circuit between the pump and the brake. A plurality of on-off valves are connected in a series hydraulic circuit with the check valves. The pressure relief levels of the check valves correspond to a plurality of towed vehicle braking forces. An operator of a towing vehicle chooses a desired one of the plurality of braking forces through a selector switch.
