A drawstring extends around the bag at the garment receiving entrance, except at a location aligned with the side opening. A zipper is movable along the opening in the side between a closed position, wherein the side opening is closed, and an open position, wherein the side opening and the garment receiving entrance combine to form a single large opening to facilitate the insertion and removal of garments into and out of the bag. The bag functions as a counter bag in one orientation and a dry cleaning carrier in a second orientation. In the second orientation, a hanger is situated in the bag with the hanger hook extending through a small opening at the top.

Abstract: The garment carrier is convertible to function as a counter bag, in a first orientation, and a garment bag for use with a hanger with a hook portion, in a second orientation. The main section of the carrier includes a relatively large garment receiving opening at one end and a relatively small hanger hook portion receiving opening at the other end. A zipper is provided to permit insertion and removal of garments. Drawstrings are provided for closing the garment receiving opening of the main section. The zipper intersects the plane of the drawstrings. The drawstrings include first and second separate drawstring sections. Each of the sections has an end anchored to the main section. The anchor points are proximate the garment receiving opening, at respective points on opposite sides of the zipper, such that the zipper does not interfere with the operation of the drawstrings.

Abstract: A shoulder guard for mounting on a wire clothes hanger is provided with a top surface with an elongated slot through which the neck of the hanger extends. The top surface has a semi-cylindrical recess extending transversely relative to the slot to facilitate the insertion of a twist tie fastener such that multiple hangers with shoulder guards can be joined in side-by-side relation.

Abstract: The hanger includes a plastic body with a top edge. A member to which the hook is attached extends above the top edge of the body and has a triangular opening designed to receive a fastening device such that a plurality of like designed hangers can be connected together. The locking clips associated with pairs of garment gripping jaws are provided with protrusions that cooperate with edges on the moveable jaws to retain same in the open position.
