    Abstract: A system and method for disabling an oil furnace based on a vacuum level measurement. The oil furnace includes a pump and a burning device. The pump is adapted to transfer oil from a storage device to the burning device. A measurement device adapted to measure a vacuum level between an output of the storage device and an input of the pump. A means for disabling power to the oil furnace is adapted to disable power to the oil furnace based on a first specified vacuum level measurement set point.
