Abstract: An inverted U-shaped hockey stick weight training device comprises a bridge member integrally joined to two depending plates. The two plates frictionally engage the faces of the blade, conform to its curve and provide a uniform weight distribution throughout the entire length of the blade. A hole is formed in the bridge member with a tether running therethrough, securing the training device to the shaft of the hockey stick. The training device is made of a flexible, resilient plastic and can be manufactured in a variety of weights.

Abstract: A waste container reformer, for reforming generally disk-shaped compacted waste containers into prismatic forms, sequentially presses the sides of the waste container into a prism with a 45.degree.-90.degree.-45.degree. triangular base so that when it is placed adjacent to another reformed container, the two form a rectangular box for more efficient use of storage space. The pressure surfaces are controlled by hydraulic cylinders to provide the forces needed to reform the container. The reforming process is controlled so that one angle is formed at a time, beginning with one of the 45.degree. angles, followed by the 90.degree. angle, and then completed by forming the other 45.degree. angle. By forming one angle at a time, the load requirements of the reformer are reduced, and a consistently similar shaped reformed waste container is created.

Abstract: An apparatus for removing the bark of whole, or tree-length, logs has an open frame with a feed end, a discharge end, a base and two generally sloping sides, and a plurality of spaced-apart conveyor assemblies positioned along one side of the frame, each conveyor assembly having a plurality of lifters moving in channels. The lifters simultaneously lift the whole logs while advancing the logs incrementally toward the discharge end of the frame, then release the whole logs to fall onto the rest of the logs. The whole logs are maintained in continuous rolling, tumbling, abrading contact to remove the bark without damaging the underlying wood. The apparatus may be supplied with a canopy for use in winter and/or in cold climates in trapping heat of warm water or steam sprayed onto the logs to thaw them. The apparatus may be assembled from trailer-transportable modular units.
