Abstract: The present invention provides an adaptive infotainment device, comprising a display unit, a processing module, and a network module. The processing module is coupled to the display unit to decrypt and process the multi-media content. The network module is coupled to the processing module to receive the multi-media content and selecting paths and accessing nodes. The network module collects the usage log to be processed by the processing module to generate an accumulated user profile to be fused with user default information in a user default unit coupled to the processing module to generate at least one threshold value so that the display unit is capable of displaying the processed multi-media content according to the threshold value. Hence, the user's network behavior can be learned by combining the pre-determined preferences and the past usage preferences so as to generate the most favorable displaying means to enhance the convenience for browsing information.

Abstract: The present invention discloses a system, which can be used to run one or more widgets randomly at specific schedule according to user preference. The system, in one of the embodiments, comprises, a memory, for storing one or more of the widgets and an inputted schedule according to the user instruction; a user interface, for providing the users to input the schedule; a LCD, for displaying the contents of the widgets; a random program selector, for searching the appointed widgets during a specific time frame according to the schedule; a processing unit, for accessing a specific content from a server according to the appointed widgets; and a player, for playing the specific content according to the selecting result of the random program selector.

Abstract: A function configuration method according to the invention is cooperated with a master apparatus and a plurality of slave apparatuses. The function configuration method includes the steps of: assigning identification codes respectively to the slave apparatus by the master apparatus; transmitting the identification codes to the corresponding slave apparatuses through a network; and setting function configurations of the slave apparatuses according to the identification codes in the master apparatus.

Abstract: A synchronization method is cooperated with a master apparatus and a plurality of slave apparatuses. The synchronization method includes at least a transmitting process, at least a responding process, at least a receiving process, a calculating process and a time-adjusting process. The transmitting process is for transmitting a synchronization message to at least one of the slave apparatuses through a network and recording a transmitting time by the master apparatus. The responding process is for transmitting a responding message to the master apparatus through the network and record a responding time after the slave apparatus receives the synchronization message. The receiving process is for receiving the responding message and recording a receiving time by the master apparatus.

Abstract: A wireless synchronizing bridging device, which operates in conjunction with an electronic device and a mobile terminal device having a connecting interface, includes a connecting interface module, a signal transforming module and a wireless transceiving module. The mobile terminal device electrically connected with the connecting interface module through the connecting interface transmits a connecting interface signal to the connecting interface module. The signal transforming module electrically connected with the connecting interface module transforms the connecting interface signal into a wireless communication signal. The wireless transceiving module electrically connected with the signal transforming module transmits the wireless communication signal to the electronic device. A wireless synchronizing bridging system and a wireless synchronizing bridging method are also disclosed.

The media receiver responds with an operation event to output the first audio information when the broadcasting data includes the metadata. The online shopping server includes a goods database. The online shopping server receives the first audio information, searches for goods data from the goods database according to the first audio information, and stores the goods data.

Abstract: A data source apparatus, such as a computer, is connected to a remote device, such as a wireless projector, via a transmission channel, such as a wireless network, so that the remote device shows display images of the data source apparatus. Updated regions of the data source apparatus are detected and analyzed. Corresponding compression methods are then selected according to the characteristics of the updated regions. Then, the updated regions are compressed using the selected compression methods, and the compressed data accompanied by meta data indicating the type of the compression methods and coordinate values of the updated regions are then transmitted to the remote device. Then, the remote device updates its display according to the received data.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a system and a method thereof of a remotely controllable home network system for domestic appliances. A first processing unit, a first memory unit, a first display unit, and a first network unit are installed in a first domestic appliance of a domestic network system. In addition, the first memory unit is used to store action status information of the first domestic appliance. Thereby, a second domestic appliance that proposes an action request can complete the action of the first domestic appliance in succession after the second domestic appliance selects an execution item via a second display unit. Accordingly, the application convenience is enhanced.

Abstract: A system and method for configuring an electronic device to access a wireless local area network. The system includes a wireless access point device and an electronic device. The wireless access point device includes a control circuit and a first media port. The control circuit is used for controlling the wireless access point device and generating security data, and the first media port is for outputting the security data. The electronic device includes a second media port and a data processing circuit. When the second media port is electrically connected to the first media port, the electronic device, through the second media port, receives the security data. The data processing circuit configures the electronic device according to the security data in order to wirelessly access the wireless local area network via the wireless access point device.

The proxy server (121) receives request for a resource on the network (110) from the client (101), which resource is available on another server (122). The proxy server (121) removes all information identifying the client (101) from the request, and transmits the resulting anonymous request to the other server (122). The response from the other server (122) is passed on to the client (101). Also, an advertisement (210) is sent to the client (101) as a means of generating revenue. To target the advertisement (210), the client (101) maintains a user profile for the user and sends a subset of the user profile as a current interest profile to the proxy server (121). The proxy server (121) then selects the advertisement (210) based on the current interest profile.
