Abstract: Biological digital imaging systems and methods are disclosed herein for analyzing pixel data of one or more digital images depicting absorbent articles or portions of absorbent articles. A digital image comprising pixel data is obtained depicting an absorbent article or a portion of an absorbent article, the digital image. An imaging application (app) analyzes the digital image to detect a biological feature depicted within the pixel data of the digital image of the absorbent article or the portion of the absorbent article. The imaging app generates an individual-specific biological prediction value corresponding to at least one of: (a) the absorbent article; (b) the portion of the absorbent article; or (c) an individual associated with the absorbent article or portion of the absorbent article. The individual-specific biological prediction value is based on the biological feature depicted within the pixel data of the digital image of the absorbent article or the portion of the absorbent article.

Abstract: Methods of preventing or treating rheumatoid arthritis (RA) in a subject by introducing the DRB1*04:01K71E mutation that is resistant to RA. The resistant allele is introduced into the subject having or at risk of developing RA, using a HLA CRISPR/Cas9 vector that targets codon 71 in the HLA allele DRB1*04:01, introducing a single A to G point mutation in codon 71 by homology directed repair to alter the lysine at position 71 of the expressed protein to glutamic acid. This modified allele is affected in the subject's hematopoietic stem cells, which are then expanded and transplanted back into the patient. This microgene therapy confers RA-resistance via an autologous transplant. The invention includes isolated nucleic acids, vectors, recombinant viruses, cells, and pharmaceutical compositions to modify the HLA DRB1*04:01 allele.

Abstract: This disclosure relates to methods and systems for injecting and/or sequestering carbon-containing materials in underground wells, and, in some examples, for using the carbon-containing materials for enhanced oil recovery and well abandonment. An example method includes: obtaining a material comprising a carbon-containing liquid; optionally testing the material for compatibility with an underground well; optionally adjusting a property of the material to improve the compatibility; and providing the material for injection into the underground well.

Abstract: Disclosed herein are tissue marking devices and methods that enables marking a target tissue more than 24 hours prior to surgery. The tissue marking device includes a hook assembly having a compressed configuration and a deployed configuration and a handle assembly for positioning the hook assembly in a targeted tissue. The hook assembly may include a hook body comprising at least two hooks and a thread connected to the hook body. The handle assembly may include a handle body, a needle having a lumen, and a stylet having a lumen.

Abstract: Embodiments of a supplemental message display method and system are described. Supplemental messages to be displayed on the client display of a network client are defined and comprise content that is separate from content generated by any application currently executed on the network client. A virtual desktop view is served from a server computer to the network client. The virtualization layer defines a screen region on the virtual desktop view of the client display device through for the display of one or more of the supplemental messages. The virtualization layer controls the size, location, color, and transparency level of the defined screen region. The defined screen region is made persistent to ensure the continual display of the supplemental message. The supplemental message content is provided to the network client and interactive user input is received through the displayed message.

Abstract: Music instrument case apparatus and methods are taught for providing packing and transportation through an external pack, mating with a mounting area on a music instrument case. A set of fastening means in the mounting area provide for mating between the external pack and the music instrument case.

Abstract: A telecommunications billing system includes a customer database, a usage database and a billing module. The customer database is configured to store subscription data identifying a pricing plan including an allotment of shared telecommunication units in connection with at least one of a first telecommunications service and a second telecommunications service. The usage database is configured to store a first set of telecommunications service usage data associated with the first telecommunications service and a second set of telecommunications service usage data associated with the second telecommunications service. The billing module is configured to calculate excess charges when a cumulative usage that includes a sum of the first set of telecommunications service usage data and the second set of telecommunications service usage data exceeds the allotment of shared telecommunications units.

Abstract: A system and a method for tracking patients having renal disease, particularly Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD), are provided. The system and method track patients through a common system with multiple healthcare professionals, such as doctors, nurses and the like, having access to the system and updating the system based on information regarding the care, treatment, diagnosis, therapy, or the like provided to the patients. The system and method interface with remote machines and supply chains by a modem, via the internet or by wireless devices. The system and method provide a continuum of care for renal patients, i.e., CKD, peritoneal dialysis (PD), home hemodialyis (HHD), in-center hemodialysis and transplant within a single database associated with the system.
