Patent number: 11325774Abstract: A polymeric aerosol dispenser that is recyclable. The recyclable polymeric aerosol dispenser including all polymeric components. These components being selectively either fixedly joined or separably joined based on the material composition of the component. Further, components may be selected for their density and, thus, their ability to float or sink during the recycling process. The recyclable polymeric aerosol dispenser is designed to minimize its impact on the PET recycling stream and to align with industry recyclability guidelines.Type: GrantFiled: November 13, 2020Date of Patent: May 10, 2022Assignee: The Procter & Gamble CompanyInventors: Jennifer Elizabeth Hosmer, Robert Earl Magness

Publication number: 20180110714Abstract: Described herein is a method including providing a hair care composition in an aerosol dispenser, wherein the hair care composition includes from about 20% to about 45% of a surfactant system. The hair care composition also includes from about 3% to about 20% of 1,3,3,3-hydrofluoropropene foaming agent. The hair care composition has a formula pressure of from about 43 psig to about 65 psig at 20° C. and is dispensed as a foam via the aerosol dispenser. The foam has a density of from about 0.09 g/cm3 to about 0.20 g/cm3. The foaming agent within the hair care composition has a % saturation pressure of from about 66% to about 100%. The method also includes dispensing the hair care composition as a foam; applying the foam to the hair; and rinsing the foam from the hair. The foam has a density of from about 0.05 g/cm3 to about 0.35 g/cm3.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 20, 2017Publication date: April 26, 2018Inventors: Robert Wayne GLENN, JR., Jennifer Elizabeth Hosmer, Scott Edward Smith, Jean Jianqun Zhao
