  • Publication number: 20190317661
Abstract: The technology presented here enables low skilled administrators to design a hierarchical survey, low skilled field agents to collect answers to the hierarchical survey, and low skilled field managers to manage and monitor the progress of the field agents. The hierarchical surveys designed can be complex hierarchical surveys comprising multi-stage sampling units. The graphical user interfaces presented to the users are easy to use, and hide the complexity of the hierarchical survey. The user devices can communicate with each other to transmit the hierarchical surveys and the answers received to the hierarchical surveys using peer-to-peer networks, in environments where there is low, or no Internet connectivity.

  • Publication number: 20190138329
Abstract: Disclosed here are systems and methods for enabling efficient user-software interface and easy discoverability of the functionality of the software. In some embodiments, the depth of the nested user interface elements is limited to one, thus preventing the user from going down the rabbit hole of nested menus having multiple sub-nested menus to find a single functionality. In other embodiments, there are no nested menus, and majority of the user interaction is performed through an action bar or a set of easily accessible user interface elements such as buttons representing the most common commands available in the given state of the software application. The action bar can receive commands through typing or voice, and can also present the set of most common commands currently available in the software application.

  • Publication number: 20180020798
Abstract: A hair tie accessory that allows hair ties to be inserted into the hair accessory attachment easily but which prevents the elastic hair tie from being released from the hair tie accessory attachment during normal use. A hook is used to attach and retain the elastic band and a retention element guides the hair tie while in use to prevent the hair tie from detaching from the hook.

  • Publication number: 20080032620
Abstract: An airflow window system that includes at least three glazing layers positioned roughly parallel to each other to define at least two internal airflow cavities within the window system. A first of the glazing layers is adjacent a first of the airflow cavities, a second of the glazing layers is adjacent a second of the airflow cavities, and a center glazing layer is between the first and second glazing layers and separates the first and second airflow cavities. Airflow cavity openings are located adjacent the uppermost and lowermost extents of each airflow cavity, and airflow is enabled through the first airflow cavity between the openings thereof and enabled through the second airflow cavity between the openings thereof. The window system operates as a crossflow heat exchanger capable of supplying fresh outdoor air to an enclosed indoor space, while thermally tempering the incoming fresh air with outgoing indoor air.
