  • Publication number: 20240153745
Abstract: Semiconductor fabrication component preparation methods are described. In embodiments, the methods include forming a first layer on a surface of the semiconductor fabrication component. The first layer is characterized by a porosity of greater than or about 0.01 vol. %. The methods further include depositing a second layer on the first layer, where the second layer is characterized by a porosity of less than or about 20 vol. %. Treated semiconductor fabrication components are also described. In embodiments, the treated components include a first layer formed in the surface of the semiconductor fabrication component, where the first layer is characterized by a porosity of greater than or about 0.01 vol. %., and a second layer positioned on the first layer, where the second layer is characterized by a porosity of less than or about 20 vol. %.

  • Publication number: 20240141385
Abstract: This invention provides methods and systems for enhancement of protein production from mammalian cell lines in a drug inducible manner. The methods described herein can be used to generate a protein production cell line wherein the gene coding the protein product of interest is inserted into specific safe harbor loci (SHL) within the cell's genome and the gene copy number is induced to amplify by the use of an antibiotic inducer. The method enables for the conditional activation of the drug inducible transposase. The drug inducible gene amplification method described herein effectively functions as a molecular dial: combining drug-inducible homologous recombination and conditional gene activation to fine-tune gene amplification in mammalian systems.

  • Patent number: 11962367
Abstract: An antenna for transfer of information or energy is described. The antenna includes an electrically conductive first layer having a width in a thickness direction of the antenna and extending longitudinally along a length of the first layer between first and second longitudinal ends of the first layer, and an electrically insulative thermally conductive second layer bonded to the first layer along the length of the first layer. The first and second layers are wound to form a plurality of substantially concentric loops. A width and a length of the second layer are substantially co-extensive with the respective width and length of the first layer so as to expose opposing longitudinal edge surfaces of the first layer along the length of the first layer. Coils and assemblies useful for making coils are also described.

  • Patent number: 7459294
Abstract: During the production of a product compound by fermentation, the concentration of a precursor compound is maintained within a pre-selected concentration range by having an adsorbent resin in contact with the culture medium. The adsorbent resin reversibly adsorbs precursor compound and, as un-adsorbed precursor compound is converted to product compound, adsorbed precursor compound is released from the resin, thus maintaining the concentration of precursor compound within the pre-selected range.
