Patent number: 8178746Abstract: A delivery device for a sanitary article includes an encapsulating material with a first layer and a second layer, enclosing an additive in a space formed by these layers of encapsulating material. The delivery device also includes a third layer, positioned above the second layer of encapsulating material. The third layer extends beyond and thereby covers substantially all of the edges of the second layer of encapsulating material. The third layer may also extend into and throughout the space formed between the first and second layers of encapsulating material that enclose the additive. The third layer thereby protects the user of a product comprising the delivery device from contact with the edges of the second layer of encapsulating material and also provides a means for attaching the delivery device to an article to keep it in place during transport storage and use. The invention also relates to sanitary articles, such as hygiene tissues and absorbent articles, containing the delivery device.Type: GrantFiled: November 2, 2006Date of Patent: May 15, 2012Assignee: SCA Hygiene Products ABInventors: Jenny Hildeberg, Anna Klinte Olsson, Ulrika Husmark, Dennis Dahl

Patent number: 8158847Abstract: An absorbent article such as a sanitary napkin, panty liner, incontinence protector, diaper, includes an absorbent structure (4) with a first and a second side, a moisture sensitive additive (8), such as a bacterial composition, and a carrier member (10). The carrier member (10) includes a first and a second water-vapor impermeable material layer (12, 13), the material layers are sealed together by a sealing (11) to form a water-vapor impermeable volume (9) there between holding the moisture sensitive additive (8). The carrier member (10) is located on the first or the second side of the absorbent structure (4).Type: GrantFiled: December 22, 2005Date of Patent: April 17, 2012Assignee: SCA Hygiene Products ABInventors: Ingrid Gustafson, Ulrika Husmark, Jenny Hildeberg

Patent number: 7959618Abstract: A pant-shaped garment includes an outer panty having a length direction and a transverse direction and having a rear portion, a front portion, and a crotch portion. The garment includes a waist opening with a waist edge extending in the transverse direction and two leg openings each being bordered by a leg edge having a front part of the leg edge being located generally on the front portion and a rear part of the leg edge being located generally on the rear portion and on the crotch portion. The rear and front portions are mutually connected in two side joins running in the length direction from the waist opening to each leg opening. The front and rear portions of the outer panty substantially comprise an elastically extensible material. The rear part of each leg edge is curve-shaped and exhibits a concave curved segment located mainly on the rear portion.Type: GrantFiled: March 5, 2004Date of Patent: June 14, 2011Assignee: SCA Hygiene Products ABInventors: Sofia Hermansson, Catarina Linnér, Anna-Carin Elfström, Jenny Hildeberg
