    Abstract: A net for use as an embarkation-debarkation net having spacer blocks provided integrally therewith for maintaining the plane of the net configuration spaced forwardly of a rear portion of the respective distributed spacer blocks. Securing elements are provided at less than all of the crossing positions of the longitudinal and transverse lines of the net. An improved spreader structure is provided utilizing a tubular cross member and short tubular vertical members for receiving the longitudinal lines of the net. The spacer blocks provide a self-fending action when the net is used as an embarkation-debarkation net, and provide cushioning of cargo where the net is used as a cargo net.

    Abstract: A flexible embarkation-debarkation marine ladder having a pair of flexible wire rope suspension members. A plurality of steps are secured to the suspension members at spaced intervals. The steps include a pair of ears. The opposite ends of the rungs are secured to the ears in spaced relationship. Each ear includes a tubular sleeve extending perpendicularly to and in aligned relationship to the spacing between the rungs. The suspension member extends coaxially through the sleeves. A plurality of constrictible annular stops are fixed to the suspension member at the opposite ends of the sleeves to lock the steps to the suspension member in parallel, spaced relationship. In another form, the marine ladder suspension members are formed of a pair of fiber ropes. The fiber ropes extend through rectangular tubular sleeves which are fixedly secured to the ears as by welding.

    Abstract: An anchoring device for use with a flexible ladder. The ladder is provided with an upper end having connecting elements. The anchoring device is arranged to connect the upper end of the ladder to an upstanding annular access manhole projection, such as provided on a storage spheroid. The anchoring device includes an arcuate caster support having opposite end portions to which are connected the opposite ends of a flexible connector to which the connecting elements of the ladder are movably connected. The caster support is provided with a plurality of casters rotatably mounted to roll about the manhole projection so that the flexible ladder may be hung from the projection for ready adjustability on the spheroid about the vertical axis thereof.

    Abstract: A marine fender structure including a plurality of rollers rotatably mounted on a pair of flexible elongated supports. Horizontal spacers are provided at vertically spaced intervals along these supports to maintain the supports in horizontally spaced relationship whereby the rollers may freely roll along the side of the marine structure for facilitated functioning thereof in serving as fenders. Retaining structure is provided for retaining the rollers and spacer elements in association with the support elements in groups of a pair of rollers and one of the spacer elements at vertically spaced positions along the fender structure. In the illustrated embodiment, the spacer elements define rungs permitting the fender structure to further serve as a ladder.
