  • Patent number: 8517290
Abstract: A process and installation for the milling-drying and storage of brown coal. Brown coal is milled to form brown coal dust in a low-oxygen atmosphere at temperatures which are higher compared to the prior art. Then, the brown coal dust is washed with low-oxygen, dry second conveying gas and stored in a silo in a low-oxygen, dry atmosphere at a temperature of above 60° C. The installation is designed to carry out this process and comprises, for the process steps mentioned above, a mill, a dust washing installation and a silo.

Abstract: The invention relates to a process and to an installation (1) for the milling-drying and storage of brown coal. According to the invention, brown coal is milled to form brown coal dust in a low-oxygen atmosphere at temperatures which are higher compared to the prior art. Then, the brown coal dust is washed with low-oxygen, dry second conveying gas and stored in a silo in a low-oxygen, dry atmosphere at a temperature of above 60° C. The installation (1) according to the invention is designed to carry out the process according to the invention and comprises, for the process steps mentioned above, a mill (20), a dust washing installation (30) and a silo (40).

  • Patent number: 8052077
Abstract: A method for preparing a carbon siccative for producing electrodes. The dust fraction is produced continuously by a mill/sifter combination with a grain size or specific surface area adjustable during operation, preferably by a roller grinding mill with an integrated sifter.

  • Patent number: 7316258
Abstract: A method for producing hollow grinding bodies for comminuting material to be ground uses a casting mold having a cavity and includes arranging a core in the cavity with retaining elements to produce a shell-type intermediate space. At least in the area of the intermediate space a metallic material is used as a covering for the retaining elements and fuses with the casting material. The corresponding grinding body has fused-in coverings which improve the rolling behavior of the grinding body produced as only small openings are required to remove the retaining elements. Since the fusing of the metal covering into the edge area of the openings has the effect of a composite casting, even brittle materials do not suffer from chipping.
