  • Patent number: 8672963
Abstract: The present invention relates to a lancet device, by which a lancet can be displaced along a piercing path for generating a piercing wound in a skin surface, in particular to obtain bodily fluid for diagnostic purposes, comprising a lancet drive having drive means to generate a drive force for a piercing movement of the lancet along the piercing path in the direction toward the skin surface. According to the present invention, the lancet drive comprises a magnet, by which a magnetic retention force oriented opposite to the drive force may be generated, and the lancet drive also comprises triggering means, by which the retention force may be reduced enough that the lancet is accelerated in the direction toward the skin surface under the effect of the drive force generated by the drive means.

    Assignee: Roche Diagnostics Operations, Inc.
Inventors: Frank Deck, Christian Hoerauf, Malte Hinrichs, Hartmut Berg, Torsten Grunwald, Mathias Jotter, Manfred Rufer, Jens Storjohann
  • Patent number: 7847661
Abstract: An actuation magnet is provided for moving a closure needle of a hot-runner nozzle of an injection molding tool. The actuation magnet has an armature which is coupled in movement to the closure needle and may be displaced between first and second cores by subjecting at least one coil to current. A permanent magnet is arranged in a manner such that it exerts an additional magnetic force on the armature in at least one, preferably two, movement directions.

    Filed: May 22, 2008
Date of Patent: December 7, 2010
Assignee: Kuhnke Automation GmbH & Co. KG
Inventors: Mathias Jotter, Borgar Pfeiffer, Manfred Rufer, Jens Storjohann, Wolfram Heisen
