A screen is divided into a main page display portion and a pop-up display portion. A web page is displayed in the main page display portion, and a pop-up corresponding to the web page is displayed in the pop-up display portion. A preview image or short text of the pop-up may be extracted and displayed.

Abstract: A method and an apparatus for controlling data usage of a mobile terminal. The method includes checking a plurality of web contents contained in a web page in a web browser executing mode. The method also includes selectively downloading at least one of the checked web contents when data usage for a preset period exceeds a data usage limit. The method further includes displaying the at least one downloaded web content. The apparatus performs the method. Without periodic control of data usage by a user, the data usage of a mobile terminal is automatically controlled.

The mobile terminal comprises a radio frequency (RF) unit which performs access to a web site through the Internet, an access information collector which collects access information of the web site, a web access configuration unit which configures shortcut keys, on an input interface, corresponding to the web site access information as web connection settings information, a storage unit which stores the web connection settings information, and a controller which retrieves the web connection settings information linked to the shortcut key from the storage unit if shortcut information is input through the input interface and outputs the web connection settings information through an output interface, accesses to the web site based on the web site access information included in the web connection settings information through the RF unit when a web access command is input through the input interface.

Abstract: A mobile communication terminal for a character message display and a method thereof are provided to enable individual configuration of a display condition and a display with respect to individual character messages, in which, a storage unit stores the character message, a display unit displays the character message on a screen according to the configured display condition, a character message display configuration unit configures display configuration information including a display option and a display condition through the display unit with respect to the individual character messages stored in the storage unit, and a control unit controls configuration of the character message display configuration unit according to a configuration input command and controlling display action of the display unit with respect to the character messages based on the configured display configuration information. Therefore, display of the corresponding character message may be selectively processed according to the display.
