  • Publication number: 20240023119
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a pre-5th-generation (5G) or 5G communication system to be provided for supporting higher data rates beyond 4th-generation (4G) communication system such as long term evolution (LTE). Next generation of wireless cellular operation is expected to be deployed in higher frequency above 6 GHz (e.g., 10 GHz˜100 GHz, also called mmWave and/or cmWave) due to availability of large amount of spectrum bandwidths. The physical layer of wireless cellular system in both DL and UL operating in mmWave/cmWave would be based on new air-interface different from that of LTE-A air-interface because the radio characteristics is different for mmWave/cmWave bands. The wireless system deployed in mmWave/cmWave system is expected to employ DL beam sweeping on broadcast control information to provide cell coverage to the UE which would result in excessive signaling overhead.

Abstract: Provided is a method of transmitting and receiving control information in a wireless communication system, and an apparatus therefor. The method includes performing monitoring on a PDCCH conveying DCI including pre-emption indication information, based on an RNTI configured for indicating pre-emption; and when the DCI including the pre-emption indication information is detected, determining that no transmission for the UE is present in a PRB from a set of PRBs and a symbol from a set of symbols. The PRB and the symbol are indicated by the DCI, and a symbol indicated as a UL is excluded from the set of symbols indicated by the DCI.

  • Patent number: 11552758
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a 5G or pre-5G communication system for supporting a higher data transmission rate beyond a 4G communication system such as LTE. To this end, a base station using a large-scale antenna transmits, to a terminal, reference signal resource configuration information including multiple pieces of reference signal configuration information and reference signal port information, for transmission of a reference signal, and transmits the reference signal to the terminal using some or all of channel measurement resources indicated by the multiple pieces of reference signal configuration information and the reference signal port information included in the reference signal resource configuration information. In this case, the channel measurement resources may correspond to antenna ports, the number of which is indicated by a combination of the multiple pieces of reference signal configuration information and the reference signal port information.

  • Patent number: 11337186
Abstract: A method is provided for when an allocation area of data indicated by control information overlaps a subsequent control information area occurring after a control information area is pre-configured by a higher layer signal or system information. A terminal may omit or partially perform a blind search for the subsequent control information area overlapping a data area. Additionally, a terminal may receive data based on an assumption that a data area has been mapped to the subsequent control information area, or a terminal may receive data based on an assumption that a data area has not been mapped to the subsequent control information area. Thus, the terminal may adaptively adjust a configuration area for a data area and prevent blind decoding to further reduce power consumption.
