A menu of selectable addresses or place names may also be presented to the user for insertion into the message as the user is typing the message. Such insertion may be based on a place name typed by the user or a type or category of place typed by the user in the message. Such relevant location information may instead be inserted automatically by the system on the recipient's device when the recipient receives the message. The system may also automatically generate and send a selectable calendar item including the address, date and time and attendees, based on information extracted from the message and previous relevant messages, as the message is being typed or upon sending the message.
