  • Patent number: 5579941
Abstract: An improved medication dispensing and control assembly is disclosed in which a carton has sidewalls defining a medication dispensing opening, which carton has at least one sidewall provided with a positioning slot for secure positioning in a tray. The carton has bendable top wall connected to the sidewalls to allow the top wall to move between a position closing the medication opening and opened positions allowing removal of medication from the cartons. A frame may be releasably attached to the top wall (for instance by teeth or other projections) so as to maintain planarity of the top wall to thereby facilitate carton opening and closing and maintaining the top wall portion in a closed condition and to resist any undesired bending thereof.

  • Patent number: 5489025
Abstract: A medication dispenser for dispensing unit doses of medication from blister comprises a top plate having a face area and a back area with at least one aperture for receiving a blister of a blister pack, a bottom plate adapted to engage the back area of the top plate to confine the blister pack between the top plate and the bottom plate and having at least one dispensing aperture in register with the blister of the blister pack, a bridge spanning at least a portion of the face area of the top plate which carries a label-receiving surface having an area less than the area of the top plate, and supported above the face area of the top plate by support members a distance great enough to avoid interference with the blisters of the blister pack. One or more of the medication dispensers can be held in a frame which confines the dispensers between side walls having bosses which cooperate with retaining tabs on the medication dispensers to retain the dispensers within the frame.

  • Patent number: 5356011
Abstract: A medical dispenser is disclosed having a container with a cover slidable with respect to the container wherein the cover has recessed areas for removably receiving appropriately sized and shaped tabs of an indicia bearing card and wherein the cover structure prevents sheetlike edges of material in the container from entering the recessed areas.

  • Patent number: 5331758
Abstract: A label holder made from a single piece of molded plastic with an area of reduced thickness (i.e., a living hinge) dividing the single piece into a back panel and a transparent front panel. The back panel has an area into which a label is placed. By applying finger pressure to the front panel, the holder can be closed along the living hinge until the front and back panels contact each other. Each locking tab on a panel interlocks with a corresponding free edge on the other panel and locking the label in a sandwiched condition. A release lip on the front panel facilitates unlocking and opening of the holder by similar finger pressure. The back panel has attachment means allowing easy insertion into any surface adapted with appropriate receiving means. Once connected, the holder is securely attached to the surface, while at the same time being easily removeable for quick and simple replacement.

  • Patent number: 5281020
Abstract: A base drawer which has been modified to allow non-permanent attachment of an extender to increase the vertical dimension of the drawer. Additional extenders can be stacked one on top of the other, in order to increase the vertical dimension of the drawer to any height desired. In one embodiment, the base drawer has three receptacles along the top edge of its two side walls, and each extender has three matching locking prongs along the lower edge of its two side walls as well as three receptacles along the upper edge of each side wall which allow extenders to be stacked one on top of the other. When one or more extenders are attached to a base drawer (i.e., receptacles and prongs are interlocked), the receptacles and prongs on each side of the resulting stackable drawer assembly are in line.

  • Patent number: 4037339
Abstract: A visible file-card system including a holder and a plurality of cards with cooperating means for pivotally mounting the cards in the holder in superimposed, overlapping, stepped relationship with a portion of the face of each card adjacent its lower edge, visibly exposed. The specific structure for mounting each card on the holder comprises a resilient pivot strip secured to a tab at the upper edge of each card having pivot extensions or pivot lugs on its ends. The holder comprises a back with a longitudinal channel or elongated recess which has flanges at its edges provided with pairs of horizontally spaced opposed pivot openings for receiving the oppositely-projecting pivot lugs of the pivot strips, as the strips are contracted by bending and then allowed to expand to project the pivot lugs into a pair of the opposed pivot openings.
