    Abstract: The present invention provides a system for developing printing plate precursors. In one embodiment, the system includes a developer unit adapted to apply developer to printing plate precursors, a replenisher unit for controllably delivering replenisher to the developer unit and a regenerator unit for controllably delivering regenerator to the developer unit. The system may controllably deliver sufficient amounts of the replenisher and/or regenerator to maintain the volume and/or activity of the developer in the developer unit.
