  • Publication number: 20060016112
Abstract: Systems and tabs are provided for labeling a hanging folder having substantially vertical slots. The tab includes three walls. The first wall has a top edge and a flange located below the top edge that is adapted for engagement of the vertical slot on the hanging file folder such that the first wall projects above the file folder. The second wall has a top edge and a flange located below the top edge that is adapted for engagement of the vertical slot on the hanging file folder such that the second wall projects above the file folder. The third wall is located between the first and second walls, and located along a plane that forms an angle with either the first or second walls that is not 90 degrees.

  • Patent number: 6803084
Abstract: Facestock is adhered with adhesive to a liner sheet. Weakened separation lines in the facestock define lines of facestock labels. And weakened separation lines in the liner sheet define liner sheet strips separable from the body of the liner sheet to expose backsides of respective lines of labels. The rest of the liner sheet can then be manipulated to position the line of labels on staggered tabs, the labels pressed into position and separated from the rest of the facestock. Another embodiment includes facestock sheet separation lines defining the perimeters of facestock labels with at least one facestock handle attached thereto. The liner sheet includes a portion attached to the handle whereby the handle, the label and the portion are removable as a unit from the liner sheet and the facestock, the handle manipulated to position the label so that its adhesive backside is positioned and applied at the desired surface location, and the handle and portion then separated from the label.

  • Publication number: 20040149603
Abstract: A printable sheet (10) includes a blank (12) for an envelope having a central body panel (14), a top flap, a pair of opposing side panels, and a bottom flap (18). The envelope blank is capable of being removed from the printable sheet and folded along weakened lines to form a secure sleeve for holding various items. The sheet on which the envelope blank is formed is capable of being placed in a printer to have images and/or indicia printed thereon. The envelope may also include integral index tabs for indentifying and archiving the contents of the folded envelope. The top flap, bottom flap, and opposing side panels are adapted to interconnect to secure items in the envelope.

  • Patent number: 6748994
Abstract: A label applicator including a support surface having a central area and curving downwardly from the central area. A post assembly extends up from the central area such that a label having a label through-hole can be positioned in a support position generally on the support surface with the post assembly extending up through the label through-hole and an adhesive face of the label facing up. Thereby an article having an article through-hole can be positioned over the post assembly so that a flat surface of the article can be pressed and guided against the adhesive face of the positioned label. The curved surface flattens out as the article is pressed down, allowing the label to be smoothly applied to the article. Pins extending up adjacent to the support surface engage in notches on the label and help hold the label in place.

  • Publication number: 20040101646
Abstract: A facestock releasably adhered to a liner sheet is die cut to form one or two compact disc labels (820), and two diametrically opposed tabs (840 or 844) on each compact disc label (820) and located so that one edge of the tab (840 or 844) is in contact with one of the compact disc labels (820) and is perforated (830 or 834). The liner side of the tab (840 or 844) also has a die cut patterned so that it generally follows the outline of the tab (840 or 844), but which forms a shape which is inside of and slightly smaller than the face cut tab pattern. After the label sheet has passed through a printer or copier and the desired indicia has been printed on the labels (820), at least one of the tabs (840 or 844) is pushed through from the reverse side of the sheet (800), or pulled through via a sheet opening partially separating the tab (840 or 844) from the rest of the sheet (800).

  • Publication number: 20040091659
Abstract: A label badge sheet construction including a facestock sheet releasably adhered to a liner sheet. A weakened separation line in the facestock sheet defines at least one label. After the sheet construction has been passed through a printer or copier and desired indicia printed on the at least one label the printed label can be removed to be used as a visitor's badge or the like. Preferably, first and second labels are formed with a fold line separating them, and a weakened separation line through the liner sheet forms a liner panel which is adhered to the back of the first label. With the first and second labels and the liner panel removed as a label assembly and the labels folded on the fold line, through-holes through the first and second labels and the liner panel are aligned. A lanyard or clip can be passed through the aligned through-holes. The liner panel thereby reinforces the through-holes.

  • Publication number: 20040026489
Abstract: A printable sheet including one or more envelope assemblies formed thereon, each having a central body panel, an end flap, a pair of opposing top and bottom panels, a business card removably attached and incorporated into the bottom panel, and a retaining flap. The sheet is capable of being placed in a printer to have images and/or indicia printed on the envelope assemblies. Each envelope assembly is capable can be removed from the printable sheet and folded along weakened lines, and adhered to itself to form a secure sleeve or envelope for holding various items. Each envelope has a retaining flap on the open end that can be tucked into the envelope after insertion of its contents in order to retain the contents, which could either be used or removed if desired. The envelope could be designed to readily hold business card compact discs. The business card can be subsequently separated by the user from the formed envelope.

  • Publication number: 20040013839
Abstract: The present invention relates to the present invention relates to a time indicating label comprising (a) a label substrate having a first and second surface, (b) an acid-base indicator composition, and (c) an activator composition, wherein one of (b) or (c) are on the first surface of the substrate and wherein (b) and (c) when brought in contact remain adhered. The label may have a pressure sensitive adhesive on the second surface of the label. The invention further relates to a method of using the time-temperature indicating label. The labels provide an effective means for determine the safety of frozen foods. The labels also provide a means of providing security by providing name badges that are time sensitive and may not be reused. The name badges provide a means to monitor the length of a visitor's time and prevents reusing the name badge.

  • Publication number: 20020086127
Abstract: A label sheet construction including a liner sheet and a facestock sheet releasably adhered to the liner sheet. A plurality of labels and fold lines are die cut in the facestock sheet but not the liner sheet. The fold lines extend between the labels. After the sheet construction has been passed through a printer or copier and the desired indicia printed on the labels, the construction (an upper portion thereof) is bent back along one of the fold lines. This separates a(n) (upper) portion of the label from the underlying liner sheet. The user then easily grasps the upper portion and peels the label off of the liner sheet without tearing the label. When the label has a burst design, it is preferable to have a pair of fold lines for folding the liner sheet away from a portion of the label. The burst design preferably has alternating long and short points.
