Patent number: 11846065Abstract: A new method of delivering more precise amounts of carpet mill dye to regions of discoloration using a roller-ball applicator enables precisely metered delivery of the three primary dye colors to discolored carpet fibers. The method eliminates the need for a water extraction, enables the restoration of a more uniform color pattern, and eliminates dye overspray outside of the treated region that is inherent with the use of a spray bottle. The applicator is held with a loose grip and the roller ball is alternately moved in clockwise and counter-clockwise directions while in contact with the carpet fibers to be dyed. This ensures that dye is delivered to all sides of the fiber. To ensure even dye penetration and improved motion of the roller ball, an emulsifier is added to the dye solution. After each application, a microfilament cloth is wiped across the treated region.Type: GrantFiled: August 19, 2020Date of Patent: December 19, 2023Inventor: Jerry Gordon Roper

Patent number: 8453373Abstract: A mount for being positioned on a rail and for receiving a fishing rod holder is provided. The mount includes a retaining member having a pair of spaced-apart walls that are interconnected on respective first ends by a connecting wall, the pair of spaced-apart walls defining a gap therebetween and a compression block selectively receivable within the gap of the retaining member and having a width that approximates a width of the rail. A fastener engages the compression block and extends from about respective second ends of each wall of the pair of spaced-apart walls and is configured such that tightening of the fastener deforms at least one wall of the pair of spaced-apart walls into engagement with the compression block, thereby providing an interference fit between the pair of spaced-apart walls of the retaining member and the rail.Type: GrantFiled: April 22, 2010Date of Patent: June 4, 2013Inventor: Jerry Gordon

Patent number: 7857031Abstract: The guide assembly comprises corner brackets for mounting to the upper corners of a door jamb. Each corner bracket supports an elongated curvilinear track section and an elongated cam track. The curvilinear track section and the cam track each have a central concave portion. The guide assembly further comprises a support bracket which is pivotally mounted to an upper corner of the top panel of the sectional door. The pivoting support bracket has a cam follower which engages and follows the cam track, so that pivoting of the support bracket is responsive to the shaping of the cam track. The assembly is designed to steer the upper edge of the top panel away from the cable drum of a lifting assembly when passing thereby, all with the objective of reducing headroom.Type: GrantFiled: February 6, 2008Date of Patent: December 28, 2010Assignee: Steel-Craft Door Products Ltd.Inventors: Arthur Mihalcheon, Jerry Gordon

Patent number: 7237312Abstract: To erect metal utility poles, a plurality of tubular sections of utility poles are fabricated, each having tapered portions and the diameter of one being slightly larger than the diameter of another. The sections are brought to a site for erection and pulled together with short repeated strokes of a hydraulic cylinder attached to one section with its piston rod connected to another section of utility pole. In one embodiment it is not necessary to manually adjust the mechanism pulling the sections of utility poles together and in another embodiment, a light flexible cord is attached to one section and a hydraulic cylinder to another section. The hydraulic cylinder pulls the cord and when the piston rod is extended for the next retraction, the cord length is adjusted.Type: GrantFiled: April 18, 2005Date of Patent: July 3, 2007Inventor: Jerry Gordon Enns
