Abstract: A device that selectively closes an inlet opening in a face frame of a throat in a pool skimmer, the throat having an outlet opening in a wall of a chamber of the pool skimmer, the throat being in a water flow communication with the chamber, the chamber accessible through a removable lid, the device comprises a body sized larger than the inlet opening, a support member sized and shaped to be positioned, during use of the device, in a contact with the wall of the chamber and adjacent the outlet opening of the throat, and an elastic member being in a first connection with the body and in a second connection with the support member, the elastic member further being in a tension during use of the device.

The cut out portions may be diamond shaped. The skimmer guard may include a ring tab or other member extending from the outer periphery thereof for ease of removal of the guard.

Abstract: A removable swimming pool border for use with a swimming pool having a sidewall and a pool liner includes a flexible facestock layer made of polymeric material. The facestock layer has design indicia on one side thereof. A pressure sensitive adhesive layer is located on the second side of the facestock opposite the design indicia side for removably attaching the swimming pool border to the pool liner of the swimming pool. A removable liner layer is attached to the surface of the pressure sensitive adhesive layer for protecting the pressure sensitive adhesive layer prior to use. The swimming pool border is adhesively attached to the pool liner by the pressure sensitive adhesive layer when the swimming pool border is in use. The swimming pool border is removably attached to the pool liner along a top inner edge of the swimming pool such that the water level of the swimming pool lies along the height of the swimming pool border when the swimming pool border is in use.

Abstract: A removable swimming pool border for use with a swimming pool having a sidewall and a pool liner includes a flexible facestock layer made of polymeric material. The facestock layer has design indicia on one side thereof. A pressure sensitive adhesive layer is located on the second side of the facestock opposite the design indicia side for removably attaching the swimming pool border to the pool liner of the swimming pool. A removable liner layer is attached to the surface of the pressure sensitive adhesive layer for protecting the pressure sensitive adhesive layer prior to use. The swimming pool border is adhesively attached to the pool liner by the pressure sensitive adhesive layer when the swimming pool border is in use. The swimming pool border is removably attached to the pool liner along a top inner edge of the swimming pool such that the water level of the swimming pool lies along the height of the swimming pool border when the swimming pool border is in use.

Abstract: A swimming pool deck and pool wall support that includes a unitary shell member defining two vertically extending chambers each filled with concrete. At a first end of the shell member the chambers are connected by a web. The shell member further defines a gap extending from the web to a second end of a shell member and separating the chambers. The support may be utilized as part of a swimming pool deck and pool wall support system. A method of supporting a swimming pool deck and pool wall is also disclosed.

Abstract: Skimmer apparatus, for a recreational pool of the type where a housing of the skimmer is mounted outside the pool and has a port opening in sealed relation to a pool sidewall opening, is provided with an assembly, including a special gasket frame and a face plate, for fastening the housing to the pool sidewall for normal use, and further including a cover panel adapted to sealably mount over the face plate by gripping sealing engagement with a peripheral flange of the gasket frame to effectively close off the chamber of the skimmer housing for non-use or storage disposition.
