Abstract: Disclosed is a threshold assembly that is durable and resistant to damage from mechanical stress and ultraviolet light exposure, thermally insulating, aesthetically pleasing, and adjustable to accommodate varying door heights and entryway dimensions and that can also be manufactured in a cost effective manner. The threshold includes base portion having a front face that accommodates an extender, a top surface, a channel, a nose wall, and an optional sizing notch that allows the threshold to be cut to varying entryway widths. The threshold further includes a deck cover secured about the base portion and a cap disposed within the base channel. An adjustment screw is disposed within the cap and used to vary the height of the threshold assembly to create an appropriate fit to an associated door. The deck cover or other components can be made of a durable coextruded material with impact or other modifiers.

Abstract: A flush bolt with improved travel is disclosed. The flush bolt is composed of a housing with a slotted longitudinal cavity in its face and a bore at least partially through one end of the housing and passing far enough through the housing as to engage with the slot. A bolt is within the bore and a coupling lever is rotatably coupled to a bolt at one end and to a slotted actuator arm at a centrally located point. The slotted actuator arm is coupled at one end to the housing at a point centrally located within the longitudinal cavity so that when pivoted, the slotted actuator arm transfers its pivotal movement to angular movement in the coupling lever and, in turn, into linear motion of the bolt.

Abstract: An adjustable striker plate assembly for a double door having a slidable member providing for adjustment of the striker plate in a horizontal direction and an adjustable member for adjusting the striker plate in a vertical direction. Two fasteners pass through the striker plate and through the slidable member and into two threaded holes in the adjustable member. A cam is rotatably coupled to the adjustable member for adjusting and holding the adjustable member in place until the fasteners are tightened.
