  • Patent number: 9371941
Abstract: An insulated ductwork system particularly adapted for exterior use joins together pre-assembled air circulation duct sections that each have a ductwork passageway that is formed solely with insulation panels of foam insulation material disposed between foil sheets that are in turn covered by additional insulation material and an outer protective jacket to seal the ductwork from weather effects. The air circulation duct sections are used without traditional metal ductwork forming any part of the air circulation duct. Receiving flanges extend from the ends of each air circulation duct section and the duct sections are joined together in abutting relation with at least one slidably engageable sleeve that engages the flanges. A filler insulation is disposed over the sleeve. A closure band is disposed over the filler insulation and joined to exterior surfaces of the air circulation duct sections.

  • Patent number: 9356366
Abstract: A cable connector assembly includes a carrier having an insulative sheet with a substrate side fixedly mounted to a substrate and a contact side opposite the substrate side. A first conductive contact is secured to the contact side of the carrier. The first conductive contact has a pad coupled to a center conductor of a cable and a spring beam extending from the pad of the first conductive contact. The spring beam of the first conductive contact is resiliently deformed against a corresponding printed electronic on the substrate. A second conductive contact is secured to the contact side of the carrier. The second conductive contact has a pad coupled to an outer conductor of the cable and a spring beam extending from the pad of the second conductive contact. The spring beam of the second conductive contact is resiliently deformed against a corresponding printed electronic on the substrate.

  • Patent number: 9346150
Abstract: A hand-held duct closure tool 10 has teeth 24, 30 extending outwardly from the distal ends of two pivotably engaged arms 18, 20. The teeth penetrate into insulation material of abutting sections of insulated ducts or ductwork. When the user releases the tool, the teeth from each distal end remain engaged with the insulation material and are urged toward one another to hold the insulated duct sections in abutting relation.

  • Patent number: 9239997
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to systems and processes for environmental and condition monitoring of containerized assets. One illustrative system includes containers that are configured to enclose assets that are potentially hazardous and/or potentially sensitive to electromagnetic (EM)/radio frequency (RF) radiation or emissions. The assets may also be sensitive to various environmental conditions such as temperature, humidity, shock and vibration. An exemplary system uses sensors to measure and track these environmental conditions inside a container for up to multiple years. An illustrative system may also use sensors to measure attributes of the asset. An illustrative system is configured to archive and report on the collected data. An illustrative system includes the ability to issue a warning when an asset may have been compromised. Additionally, the collected data may be used in predictive life analyses.

  • Patent number: 9195341
Abstract: Touch screen controllers and methods are presented for removing charger noise and other high frequency noise from touch screens in the presence of aliasing in which a digital low pass filter rejects the high frequency noise, a noise tracker determines whether noise is being aliased into the low pass filter pass band, and a noise shaper artificially induces or modifies aliasing in the system by adjusting an analog-to-digital converter sampling frequency and/or a panel scan frequency to try to move the aliased noise outside the low pass filter pass band.

  • Patent number: 9151563
Abstract: A tool for cleaning the bolt and bolt carrier of a firearm and a method using the tool are disclosed. The tool is preferably made from a single piece of rectangular metal having a longitudinal channel cut in one end to define first and second legs. The first leg is sized to fit within the bore a bolt. The channel is of a width to place an edge of the second leg adjacent the surface of the bolt. Rotating the tool in relation to the bolt scrapes an edge of the second leg against the surface of the bolt thereby removing carbon residue from the surface of the bolt.
