  • Patent number: 4961293
Abstract: A precast, prestressed concrete secondary containment vault comprised of a sloped, watertight bottom unit capable of holding a primary tank's entire contents, a collar unit sealed to the bottom unit by post-tensioned strands, top panels capable of supporting vehicles, a manhole providing access to permit direct inspection of the primary tank, and means for monitoring, ventilating and pumping the vault. Double-wall pipes for connecting the primary tank to external units and for directing any pipe leakage to the bottom unit are disclosed.
