    Abstract: An apparatus for rescuing persons and objects from a grain storage bin or similar structures. The apparatus is made up of a bottom frame, a hoisting frame, and at least one rear bracing member. The hoisting frame has a top horizontal member with at least one attachment location supporting a safety mechanism and a plurality of legs attached to the top horizontal member. The plurality of legs are rotatably attached to the bottom frame. The apparatus has at least one rear bracing member rotatably attached to the bottom frame and securably attached to an anchoring feature.
