Patent number: 10617258Abstract: A grinder for reducing particle size of an organic matter, for example herbs, includes a housing assembly supporting a gauge screen therein to define a cutting chamber thereabove and a receiving chamber therebelow. A plurality of fixed blades are mounted in the cutting chamber in fixed relation to the housing assembly and a plurality of rotating blades rotate relative to the fixed blades to reduce size of the organic matter by cutting, shearing and/or grinding. The gauge screen is replaceable with other screens of different gauge independently of the fixed and rotating blades. The blades are bidirectional and include guide surfaces on the fixed blades which guide material downwardly and into the direction of rotation relative to respective cutting edges of the blades as the rotating blades are rotated relative to the fixed blades in either direction.Type: GrantFiled: November 14, 2016Date of Patent: April 14, 2020Assignee: Lift Innovations Inc.Inventors: Greg John Moneta, Matthew John Olson, Jesse Benjamin Marr

Patent number: 10191979Abstract: Graphical data-visualizations can be converted into sonified output. For example, a computing device can detect metadata that describes data points for a graphical visualization. The computing device can generate an interactive interface that is different from the graphical visualization based on the metadata. The interactive interface may include a matrix of cells corresponding to the data points in the metadata. The computing device can detect an interaction with a cell in the matrix. The interaction can indicate that a sonified representation of a data point corresponding to the cell is to be output. The computing device can responsively determine at least two sound characteristics for the sonified representation of the data point using a portion of the metadata describing the data point. The at least two sound characteristics can each audibly represent different aspects of the data point. The computing device can then cause the sonified representation to be output.Type: GrantFiled: January 10, 2018Date of Patent: January 29, 2019Assignee: SAS INSTITUTE INC.Inventors: Claude Edward Summers, II, Julianna Elizabeth Langston, Jesse Daniel Sookne, Jesse Benjamin Olley, Kerry Leanne Smith Trout, Cleester Daniel Heath, IV, Samuel Edward Kalat, Paul William Layne
