  • Patent number: 11998452
Abstract: A modular augment cone system and methods of implanting the modular augment cone system. The system includes a main body cone a first cutout in the cone wall, and including a proximal end, a distal end, and a cone wall extending between the proximal and distal ends. A portion of the cone wall proximal to the first cutout includes an attachment feature. A first augment cone is positionable in the first cutout, the first augment cone including an attachment feature configured to mate with the attachment feature of the cone wall to attach the first augment cone into the first cutout. The main body cone can include a second cutout in the cone wall. In such systems, the modular augment cone system can include a second augment cone configured to mate with an attachment feature of the cone wall to attach the second augment cone into the second cutout.

  • Patent number: 9876375
Abstract: A jumper cable which includes a receptacle mounted on, near or within a battery casing. The receptacle may include a socket having a pair of circular contacts on the inner circumference thereof electrically connected to battery terminals. The device may also include a cable having a plug on each end configured to mate with the receptacle socket. Such a plug may include a larger-diameter ring for engaging the upper contact and a smaller-diameter ring for engaging the lower contact when the plug is inserted into the socket. Accordingly, if a battery needs recharging, a plug is inserted into the receptacle associated with the dead battery and the opposing plug is inserted into a receptacle associated with a charged battery to establish electrical interconnection there between. Alternatively, an adapter having a socket and electrical clamps for grasping battery terminals may be used when a receptacle is not connected to one of the batteries.

  • Publication number: 20130125646
Abstract: Monitoring and/or tracking systems and devices and methods for making and using the same are described. In some configurations, a system includes the following components: a stationary mounting surface defining an environment; a transmitter coupled to the stationary mounting surface; and a switch having a closed state and an open state. In various configurations, the switch is coupled to the stationary mounting surface and is in electrical communication with the transmitter. In various configurations, the switch occupies the closed state when the environment is in a first condition, the switch is toggled to the open state when the environment is in a second condition and the switch returns to the closed state when the environment returns to the first condition. In some configurations, the transmitter transmits discrete electrical signals corresponding with the closed state and the open state of the switch, respectively. Other embodiments are described.

  • Patent number: 4662667
Abstract: Optical record disc handling apparatus for avoiding contamination of optical disc surfaces. A U-shaped handle supports on a first extending leg a centering post approximately midway between an inside edge of the supporting leg and the optical disc center. A remaining extending leg supports a pivotal gripping member which may be operated by the index finger. The pivotal gripping member is pivotal between a disc grasping position and disc releasing position. The centering post is advantageously spring loaded in the axial direction to permit a slight downward force to be applied to a centering hub in the disc storage package. The device is capable of being manufactured by standard injection molding techniques which are simple and economical.
