Mounted in the first recess is a docking connector movable between closed and open positions. Detachably mounted in the second recess is a universal serial bus connector operably connected to the docking connector. The case defines a chamber and a battery operably connected to the docking connector is disposed in the chamber.

Abstract: A portable device case includes a flexible material jacket conformably surrounding at least a portion of the periphery of the portable device and a rigid rim conformably surrounding the jacket comprising one or more hinges and a snap lock to encase the jacket and the portable device surrounded therein, wherein total functionality of the portable device is accessible through apertures and contacts in the jacket and rim and no accessory tools or affixing devices are required to install the portable device in the case.

Abstract: A housing for mobile devices is disclosed herein. The housing includes a shell having an interior portion displaced therein configured to fit a mobile device; a first opening through which the interior portion is accessible for inserting the mobile device; a second opening configured to be smaller than the mobile device; and a housing support displaced around the second opening. The housing also includes an insert configured to fit in and cover the second opening, the insert having a first surface facing the interior portion of the shell once the insert has been placed in the shell; and a second surface opposite to the first surface and facing the outside of the housing once the insert has been placed in the cell. A method for making the same is also disclosed.

Abstract: A stand provides support for a portable display device such as a tablet computer or e-book reader. In one example, the stand includes a leg having a proximal portion and a distal portion and a support member having a proximal portion and a distal portion. A first hinge at the proximal portion of the leg pivotally attaches the leg to the display device, and a first hinge stop is adapted to arrest a pivoting of the leg when the leg pivots at the first hinge to a first angle relative to a rear surface of the display device. A second hinge at the distal portion of the leg pivotally attaches the support member to the leg, and a second hinge stop is adapted to arrest a pivoting of the support member when the support member pivots at the second hinge to a second angle relative to the leg.
