  • Publication number: 20070013470
Abstract: Ferrite cores are provided with rounded, convex head ends and complimentary rounded, concave tail ends. The configuration of the head and tail ends permits a reduction in gap width between adjacent cores when they are joined together into a core assembly that suppresses electromagnetic interference emitted from a cable.
    Type: Application
    Filed: September 19, 2006
    Publication date: January 18, 2007
Inventors: Jessica Berens, Don Gilliland, Amanda Elisa Mikhail
  • Publication number: 20060137891
Abstract: In a first aspect, a first apparatus for providing radiated emission suppression in cabling is provided. The first apparatus includes (1) at least one cable; (2) one or more ferrite elements each substantially surrounding a length of the at least one cable; and (3) a capacitive sleeve element substantially surrounding a length of the at least one cable and the one or more ferrite elements. The capacitive sleeve element includes a conducting material adapted to be connected to a ground. Numerous other aspects are provided.

  • Publication number: 20060016482
Abstract: A novel check valve for an exhaust device is formed from a thin flexible plate. A plurality of flaps is formed in the thin flexible plate. The flaps are arranged in a vertical manner to form at least one column of flaps. A stopper is coupled to a back side of the thin flexible plate. The stopper prevents the plurality of flaps from moving towards the stopper.

  • Publication number: 20050111187
Abstract: A multi function component mounting assembly is shown that, in the environment illustrated, supports a blower in an electronic device chassis in tandem with another component requiring frequent user access such as a media component. The assembly is supported on a sheet metal tray or frame with the blower mounted beneath the distal end of the tray along with its electrical connector which is supported with two degrees of limited motion to accommodate remote auto docking. The tray is secured in the opening by a unitary molded latch element that is permitted limited longitudinal movement with respect to the tray and includes biasing means which engage the tray to bias the assembly into a fully inserted position in the chassis. A drop down handle assists manual insertion and withdrawal of the assembly and disengagement of the latch securing the assembly and is moved to a stored position by insertion of the media component.
