    Abstract: A sheathed posttensioning cable assembly including an elongated metallic cable and a coaxially disposed outer sheath, with the cable assembly including a polymeric resin fiber/filament impregnated with a migratory corrosion inhibitor being inserted within the sheath and extending along the length of the cable. The polymeric resin is preferably polypropylene, polyethylene, nylon, or polyethylene terephthalate, with the corrosion inhibitor comprising a 50:50 blend of sodium benzoate and alkali metal sebacate. The inhibitor preferably comprises between 5% and 10% by weight of the impregnated fiber/filament.

    Abstract: A composition and method for repairing metal reinforced concrete structures by applying a repair coating to surfaces of such damaged structures. The coating composition is a mortar/aggregate mixture blended with fiber reinforcements and containing a quantity of selected migratory corrosion inhibitors. These inhibitors are a mixture of sodium gluconate together with an auxiliary inhibitor consisting of sodium sebacate, potassium sebacate or ammonium benzoate. The fiber reinforcements consist of polypropylene or polyethylene, and are co-extruded with a quantity of the migratory corrosion inhibitors listed above.

The second source consists of an in-situ coextruded blend of a migratory corrosion inhibitor in a resin matrix, the second source consisting of a coextruded blend which includes an alkali metal salt of a dibasic acid containing from 8 to 12 carbon atoms together with migratory corrosion inhibitors consisting of alkali metal gluconates, zinc gluconate, and cyclohexylammonium benzoate, with the alkali metal in the inhibitors being sodium, potassium, or calcium.
