  • Patent number: 8643998
Abstract: By means of a series of parameters taken by the plurality of sensors, the system of the invention makes it possible, via a central control unit provided with complementary programming firmware, to activate an electric-field compensating device (7) whenever there is a risk of lightning discharging over the wind turbine, in such a manner that, in the contrary case, said device remains inoperative. The electric-field compensating device (7) is associated not only with the nacelle (2) but also with the tower (1) and the blades (4) in such a manner that, between the rotor (3) and the nacelle unit (2) there is a first pair of rings (14), which are conducting, concentric and the dielectric of which is air, whilst, in the lower zone of the nacelle unit (2) there is a second pair of conducting rings (15) with similar features.

  • Publication number: 20080084120
Abstract: The system comprises a transmitter module which includes a circuit in which an electromagnetic transducer is established which generates a magnetic flow, supplied by means of a control circuit with the aid of a switch or similar element by means of one or more batteries, said magnetic flow is received by an electromagnetic transducer established in the receiver module, so that the magnetic flow induces an electrical current which supplies a control circuit through which the power load in question is supplied. In this way a receiver module is obtained, associated with a power load which does not need a source of supply, and which remains inoperable until it is activated by means of the transmitter module and which does not require any type of maintenance. Both the control circuit of the transmitter module and the receiver module may have the means to codify/decode the signals in case should the system application require a high degree of security.

  • Patent number: 6675665
Abstract: Self sufficient electronic system for monitoring and continuous surveillance of steam traps, valves and installations using fluids. The system comprises three essential elements: a multi sensor, an electronic analyzer and an optional receiver. The sensor measures fluid conductivity, pressure and temperature. The electronic analyzer continuously controls the status (pressure, temperature) and conductivity of fluid, supplying optical, acoustic and digital information, in situ or from a remote point, in accordance with the results of analysis carried out. The receiver centralizes and processes the signals emitted by the analyzer. The analyzer electronic circuits are fed by batteries recharged through photovoltaic cells incorporated in the equipment. The multiple probe also incorporates an ultrasonic sensor which detects ultrasounds generated in the steam trap or valve. The analyzer and the remote receiver also add the corresponding electronic circuits for a continuous surveillance of ultrasounds level.

  • Patent number: 6338283
Abstract: Self sufficient electronic system for monitoring and continuous surveillance of steam traps, valves and installations using fluids. The system comprises three essential elements: a multiple sensor, an electronic analyzer and an optional receiver. The sensor measures fluid conductivity, pressure and temperature. The electronic analyzer continously controls the status (pressure, temperature) and conductivity of fluid, supplying optical, acoustic and digital information, in situ or from a remote point, in accordance with the results of analysis carried out. The receiver centralizes and processes the signals emitted by the analyzer. The analyzer electronic circuits are fed by batteries recharged through photovoltaic cells incorporated in the equipment.
