  • Publication number: 20240052620
Abstract: The present invention relates to a toilet comprising an open-rim toilet bowl which combined construction elements generate a unique combination, the implication of which is obtaining a performance that balances the capacity to evacuate solid waste and light floating load while inside the sanitary ware, in addition to the ability to drag waste through the drainage line. In the same way, the toilet of the present invention is intended to minimize the loss of hydraulic potential supplied to it during the flushing action, from the entrance of water through the inlet tray towards a set of flushing ports located in the rim and windows that direct the water in a specific manner, generating a combined effect of floating and inertial release of the heavy load into the well, facilitating the progressive entry of the load into the discharge channel for its evacuation. Thus, said toilet maximizes the result of the previously defined effect, by providing a balance between the formal attributes of a flush action toilet.

  • Publication number: 20200407961
Abstract: The invention relates to a tankless intelligent toilet, using a direct flush technique, comprising a hinged pan (5), a bowl (2) with a water seal against odours (21), a funnel (3) below the bowl (2), for removing waste and a control unit (8) operationally connected to: a presence sensor (19); a flow sensor (12), which measures the amount of water flowing into the system; a solenoid valve (13), which allows or prevents the inflow of water into the toiler; an actuation mechanism (16), which opens and closes the hinged pan (5); and a locking mechanism (9) which locks the hinged pan (5) in the closed position. The flush mode of the toiler can be determined and the water supply to the system can be controlled, maintaining the water seal against odours, ensuring low water consumption with each flush, independently of the supply pressure, and guaranteeing a high level of performance.

  • Patent number: 9841243
Abstract: The invention relates to a system for the storage and recovery of thermal energy, using, as its medium, at least one phase change material (solid-liquid) and a sensible heat solid material for storing/recovering the heat obtained from an external source in the form of phase change latent heat and sensible heat. The aforementioned materials are duly housed inside a single tank containing at least two zones which are differentiated by the range of temperatures to which they are subjected, each zone containing a different material. The most common configuration consists of three different zones located inside the tank, namely: a hot zone in the upper part of the tank, enclosing an encapsulated phase change material characterized by a high melting temperature; a cold zone housed in the lower part of the tank, containing a phase change material with a low melting temperature; and a middle zone containing a sensible heat solid material.

  • Publication number: 20100251471
Abstract: The present invention is related to toilet device. Specifically, the present invention is related to a gravity fed toilet device of mega low water consumption, since it only consumes one gallon per flush (gpf) or 3.8 liters per flush (lpf), which is highly desirable for users. Conventional gravity fed toilets require a water consumption above 1.03 gpf/3.85 lpf for them to be efficient, or they require special accessories to improve their efficiency. The present invention significantly overcomes this high water consumption by providing a mega lower water consumption toilet device (i.e., 1 gpf/3.8 lpf), which operates by means of a conventional gravity system, without needing any accessory or special fittings elements, and with performance results equivalent or superior to those required for the highest standards and the regulation of world market.

  • Patent number: 7684878
Abstract: System and method for providing a programmable power supply. The programmable power supply may include a programmable hardware element (PHE) that couples to a power supply (DC-DC converter) and which in turn couples to a linear regulator. The PHE may implement a PID control algorithm that receives a measurement of the output power and may use PID and/or non-linear control to ensure that the power supply and the linear regulator maintain similar power levels. The PHE may be configured based on a graphical program, thus enabling fast and efficient modifications to the programmable power supply.

  • Patent number: 7383140
Abstract: A method for measuring the value of an electronic component, including applying a voltage or a current signal to the electronic component, where the signal has a first tone and a second tone of a different frequency, measuring a response signal from the electronic component, where the response signal also has a first tone and a second tone, applying signal processing on the measured response signal to generate a frequency domain signal, and calculating the value of the electronic component by using a relationship between the first tone of the response signal and the second tone of the response signal.

  • Patent number: 5890896
Abstract: A single tooth handheld dental impression duplicating device and a method of using the device are disclosed. The device is designed to reproduce the occlusal surface anatomy of a particular tooth by making an impression, and after the setting of such material and having obtained the print of the tooth, use the device as a finishing mold for the restorative material. The device comprises a main body (1) with a holder or handle (8) attached to it. Within the main body there is a well defined cavity (3) proximal to the tooth, where the impression material (4) is located. Once the impression material has been softened, it is placed against the occlusal surface of a single tooth and `deformed` against the tooth surface when finger pressure is applied, thereby creating an impression of the tooth surface configuration. A second cavity (2) opposite to the previously mentioned proximal cavity (3), allows the placement of a fibre optic cable for the emission of light when curing materials are used.
