Abstract: A mobile terminal having a touch screen and a method present a user interface in the mobile terminal having a touch screen. The method includes: detecting a touched area corresponding to a touch when the touch is sensed in the touch screen; and executing different functions according to whether the detected touched area is equal to or greater than a preset area threshold. Various touch inputs are sensed through a touch screen in the mobile terminal, and the mobile terminal and method present user interfaces corresponding to the respective touch inputs.

Abstract: An operating method of a terminal based on multiple inputs and a portable terminal supporting the same are disclosed. The operating method includes: receiving a sensor signal in a state that a touch-down event having at least one touch point is being maintained, generating respective distinct commands according to at least one of a number of touch points of the touch-down event, and a type and a form of the certain sensor signal, activating one of a user function or controlling an operation of a currently activated user function according to the generated commands; and controlling variation in a screen output on a display panel according to the activation or the control of the user function.

Abstract: Provided are a mobile device and method for operating a graphic user interface (GUI) in connection with a specific screen of a media-related application. In the method for operating the GUI, the mobile device displays a GUI screen containing a media region and a text region. The media region is provided for at least one medium disposed therein. When text is inputted in the text region, the mobile device correlates the text with one of the at least one medium. Additionally, when there is a touch on the media region, the mobile device modifies the GUI of the touched media. This method allows a user to conveniently write a message to which at least one media is attached. In case where a plurality of media are attached to a message a check of the media selected as an attachment and the associated text can easily be made.

Abstract: A display apparatus includes a display substrate including a display substrate, a first pixel layer and a second pixel layer. The display substrate includes a pixel region to display an image. The first pixel layer is formed on the pixel region, and has an opening that has a curved shape in plan view. The second pixel layer is formed in the opening, the second pixel layer having a shape that is similar to the curved shape of the opening. The second pixel layer is useful for repairing the pixel layer after removing sections to which undesirable foreign substances are attached. With the multi-pixel layer display device, malfunction rate is reduced and display quality is improved.
