Abstract: A data processing apparatus of a basic input/output system (BIOS) is provided. The data processing apparatus includes a BIOS unit, a share memory and a control unit. The BIOS unit writes command data into the share memory, wherein the command data includes identification data stored in an identification field. The control unit reads and performs the command data according to the identification data in the identification field. After the command data is performed, the control unit writes returned data into the share memory for the BIOS unit to read the returned data, wherein the returned data includes the execution result of the command data performed by the control unit and also includes the identification data.

Next, if a second password input activating signal is received during the waiting process, a second password input screen is outputted, which waits for a second password to be inputted. Then, after the input of the first password or the second password is finished, an operating system is booted.

Abstract: A digital volume controller and a control method thereof are provided. The digital volume controller includes an adjuster, a D flip-flop and a processor. The adjuster outputs a first signal and a second signal according to a rolling direction of the adjuster. There is a phase difference between the first signal and the second signal. The D flip-flop includes a clock terminal coupled to the first signal, a D terminal coupled to the second terminal and a Q terminal coupled to a third signal. When the first signal generates an enabling trigger, the processor generates a volume control signal according to a logic level of the third signal.
