  • Publication number: 20120267464
Abstract: A shredder with adjustable paper feeding opening includes a top cover and a shredder body. The top cover has a paper inlet, beneath one side of which is a rotatable adjusting bar. The adjusting bar is parallel to the paper inlet. A paper feeding opening is formed between the adjusting bar and the other side of the paper inlet. The adjusting bar is controlled by an adjusting device. The width of the paper inlet is changed by controlling the adjusting bar. This solves the problems of difficulty in backing paper and too many/few pieces of paper entering at one time.

  • Publication number: 20110303777
Abstract: A paper removal device of a shredder has a belt transporting mechanism between a blade set and a paper outlet. Shredded paper chips first fall onto the belt and transported horizontally to the end of paper outlet. They then fall downward into a collecting bin. Since the paper removal device separate the blade set and the paper outlet, the user will not touch the blade set even if he or she carelessly put the hand into the paper outlet.

  • Publication number: 20110297767
Abstract: A one-way driving mechanism for the paper removal device of a shredder is disclosed. A transmission gear set is disposed between the cutting blades and paper-feeding wheels of the shredder. The primary gear of the transmission gear set is mounted on the rotary shaft of the cutting blades. The primary gear has at least one interference element. When the rotary shaft rotates in the shredding direction, the interference element connects and rotates with the end part of the rotary shaft. When the rotary shaft rotates in the reverse direction, the interference element is separate from the end part of the rotary shaft. This ensures that the paper-feeding wheels remain static in the REV mode.

  • Publication number: 20100176231
Abstract: This specification discloses a package-type break-preventing device for rotary shafts of the shredder. It consists of two bent boards, each of which has a horizontal upper board, a vertical side board, a horizontal lower board, and a vertical base. When the two boards are connected and fixed on the machine frame and tail frame, the rotary shafts and stripper are enclosed within the space formed by the two boards. The vertical side board and the horizontal lower board directly urge against the stripper, providing a supporting effect on the rotary shafts. The rotary shafts therefore do not break under an external force due to the supporting force. This achieves the goal of preventing the rotary shafts from deformation under an external force.

  • Publication number: 20100096484
Abstract: This specification discloses a lock element for preventing the rotary shafts of shredders from bending. The lock element includes fixing ends and a supporting arm. The fixing element is used to fix on the paper guiding chips of the shredder mechanism. The supporting arm strides and urges on the outer side of the shredder mechanism. In practice, the lock elements are used in pairs and symmetrically fixed on the paper guiding chips. They form a pinching effect on the shredder mechanism to prevent the rotary shafts from bending.

  • Publication number: 20100095805
Abstract: This specification discloses plate elements that prevent the rotary shafts of the shredder from bending. The plate elements are fixed on the frame by their two ends. They are disposed in parallel on both sides of the shredder mechanism. The plate element is basically a wavy plate to provide a better strength. Through the pinching effect of the plate element on the shredder mechanism, the rotary shafts are prevented from bending deformation under external forces.

  • Patent number: 7584912
Abstract: An anti-jam device that restricts the number of sheets each time is disclosed. It comprises a movable element and a fixture element disposed above the rotary shafts. The movable element is a pair of rods parallel to the rotary shafts, with both ends in the preformed holes on the fixing element. When the shredder is in its auto mode, the passage width defined by the gap between the rods is exactly the maximum thickness of paper that can be feded each time. When the shredder is in the rev mode, the rods are pushed by paper upwards to form a larger gap, allowing the paper to be backed out easily.
