Abstract: The present invention provides an error correcting method and apparatus for correcting errors in content. In accordance with a method embodiment, a method is provided for correcting errors in content, comprising, determining the types of the errors; sending a download request over a network for downloading error correcting information according to the type of the errors; receiving the error correcting information from the server; and correcting errors with the correcting information.

Abstract: A coding and decoding method and device for improving video error concealment is disclosed in the present invention. The coding method includes the steps of: obtaining a macro block smoothness information of a macro block in a video stream, which indicates whether the boundaries of the macro block are smooth or not; and coding the macro block smoothness information into a coded video stream. The decoding method includes the steps of: determining whether the boundaries of a lost macro block are smooth or not according to the macro block smoothness information of the lost macro block in a video stream; smoothing the displacing macro block for the lost macro block if the boundaries are smooth. The smoothed displacing macro block is more similar to the original macro block, thereby the whole image is more natural with a small coding cost but a highly improved image quality; further, the calculation amount thereof is small, and the cost to realize it is relatively low.

Abstract: The present invention discloses a method of correcting a video signal that includes a video sequence parameter. The method comprises the steps of: obtaining a specific number of decoded values of the video sequence parameter; counting the times of occurrence of each different value of the decoded values; determining a correction value from the counting result; and correcting the decoded values of the video sequence parameter on the basis of the correction value. The present invention further discloses a correcting apparatus and a decoding apparatus of a video signal. With the present invention, it is able to find out conveniently a correction value of a video sequence parameter so as to correct the subsequent decoded values.

Abstract: The present invention discloses a player. The player comprises reading means, controlling means, sending means, receiving means and decoding means. The player according to the present invention acquires the original content corresponding to a missed or damaged portion required for correcting an error by being connected to the network, and adds the original content to the read content, so that the player can correct errors quickly and effectively.
