    Abstract: Systems and methods for obtaining an external content item from an online service for presentation on the client device is presented. On the client device, a condition is detected in the execution context of an executing application, the condition corresponding to the presentation of an external content item by the application. A request is made to the online service for content items. In response, content information is received, where the content information identifies potential content items. According to various embodiments, initial scores are associated with each potential content item in the content information. At the client device, a completed score is generated for each content item according to local information on the client device and the corresponding initial score. An external content item is selected for presentation on the client device from the potential content items according to, at least in part, the completed scores.

    Abstract: A non-invasive time domain reflection probe calibration method includes: using different volume ratio of ethanol and deionized water mixed solution to calculate a test target's medium weight coefficient and waveguide length of the non-invasive time domain reflection probes; using different concentrations of NaCl solutions to calibrate a waveguide geometric dimensioning of the non-invasive time domain reflection probes; preparing compacted soil samples with known different moisture contents and densities, and calibrating a correlation parameter of compacted soil samples' dielectric constant and conductivity with moisture content and density. The method not only determines the sensitivity of the test target medium of the non-invasive time domain reflection probes, but also obtains the waveguide length and geometric dimensioning of the probe, and realizes an accurate test of moisture content and density of the soil.

    Abstract: An online concierge system determines a quantity of a resource available in a timeslot to fulfill orders during the timeslot. The orders include immediate orders placed during the timeslot and scheduled orders that are scheduled for fulfillment during the timeslot. The online concierge system applies the quantity of the resource to a machine learning model to produce a predicted relationship between a value of a fulfillment metric and an allocation of the quantity of the resource reserved for immediate orders. The online concierge system determines, based on the predicted relationship, an expected optimal allocation of the quantity of the resource that maximizes the fulfillment metric. The online concierge system reserves the expected optimal allocation of the quantity of the resource for immediate orders.

The method comprises: formulating a reaction solution of acrylamide-based polymer under ice bath conditions, and drawing the reaction solution into a reaction tube by a syringe; parabolically bending the two ends of the reaction tube upward; hanging the reaction tube for 2 h-8 h, and performing a baking reaction to obtain an acrylamide-based polymer hydrogel; vacuum drying the reaction tube for 4 h-8 h to obtain a dry filament of acrylamide-based polymer; cutting the reaction tube to obtain a plurality of short polymerization tubes having a preset length; pushing the dry filament of acrylamide-based polymer out of the short tube by a stainless steel wire; purifying same in a soaking solution to obtain an expanded filament of acrylamide-based polymer; and drying same to obtain a acrylamide-based polymer hydrogel filament having a preset external diameter.
