  • Patent number: 11832205
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may identify that an uplink transmission to a base station is to occur in accordance with an uplink timing advance value representing an amount of time that the uplink transmission takes from transmission at the UE to reception at the base station. The UE may perform an autonomous open-loop adjustment to the uplink timing advance value. The UE may transmit the uplink transmission to the base station in accordance with the adjusted uplink timing advance value. The base station may transmit an indication of a set of uplink timing advance values for a UE to use for uplink transmissions, each of the set of uplink timing advance values representing an amount of time that an uplink transmission is expected to take from transmission at the UE to reception at the base station.

  • Publication number: 20230354188
Abstract: Aspects are provided which allow a network entity to receive an uplink transmission from a UE in UE DTX or cell DRX based on dynamic activation or deactivation of a DTX configuration or an associated uplink transmission configuration with respect to DTX. In some examples, the UE receives a DTX configuration associated with a UE transmission configuration and indicating an active time duration for a UE transmission associated with the UE transmission configuration. The UE also receives the uplink transmission configuration, such as an SR configuration, and a semi-static or dynamic indication of an active status of the DTX configuration or the uplink transmission configuration with respect to the DTX configuration. Afterwards, the UE transmits the UE transmission during the active time duration indicated in the DTX configuration based on the active status. As a result, less uplink transmission monitoring may result at the base station, providing network energy savings.

  • Publication number: 20230354184
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described that provide for cell access procedures based on multiple types of discovery signals that may be transmitted by network entities operating in an energy saving (ES) mode. A user equipment (UE) may establish wireless connectivity via a first network entity and receive a discovery signal from a second network entity that contains less information than a synchronization signal block (SSB) for use in a cell access procedure. The UE may transmit, based at least in part on one or more conditions associated with the discovery signal being satisfied, a trigger signal to the ES-mode second network entity to transmit a SSB for use in the cell access procedure. The UE may monitor for the SSB based at least in part on the trigger signal, and perform the cell access procedure based at least in part on the SSB.

  • Patent number: 11805548
Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, devices, apparatus, and methods, including computer programs encoded on storage media, for UL LBT status reporting. A scheduled node (e.g., a UE) may sense a status of each LBT channel in a set of one or more LBT channels. The set of one or more LBT channels may include at least one of one or more first LBT channels associated with a scheduling grant or one or more second LBT channels unassociated with the scheduling grant. The scheduled node may transmit, to a scheduling node (e.g., a base station), a LBT status report indicative of the status of each LBT channel in the set of one or more LBT channels. The scheduling node may schedule, via a second scheduling grant, a second set of one or more LBT channels based on the status of each LBT channel indicated in the LBT status report.

  • Patent number: 11800515
Abstract: In a channel occupancy time (COT), a scheduling entity can transmit a first downlink (DL) transmission burst to a scheduled entity, and receive an uplink (UL) transmission burst from the scheduled entity. The scheduling entity can determine whether the scheduled entity performed a type 1 or type 2 channel access procedure for the UL transmission burst. A scheduled entity can use a first type of channel access procedure to initiate a first COT on a communication channel and request a network access node to perform a second type of channel access procedure in a next DL transmission burst. A network access node can receive a message from a scheduled entity, wherein the message comprises a control indication requesting the network access node to perform a first type of channel access procedure in a next DL transmission burst.

  • Patent number: 11800571
Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for avoiding conflicts of resources assigned to one or more signals with resources assigned to Random Access Channel (RACH) in an Integrated Access and Backhaul (IAB) network. Configurations for first and second sets of signals are obtained for a first and second base station (BS) respectively. Based on the obtained configurations, a RACH configuration is determined for the first BS for performing a RACH procedure with the second BS over a wireless backhaul link, wherein one or more Physical RACH (PRACH) occasions according to the determined RACH configuration do not conflict with resources used for at least one of the first or the second set of signals. The determined RACH configuration is communicated to the second BS, wherein the second BS transmits a RACH signal to the first BS based on the determined RACH configuration.
