Publication number: 20240102025Abstract: The present disclosure provides a gene combination for expressing and producing terrequinone A in Escherichia coli and use thereof. The gene combination includes a tdiAS gene, a tdiBS gene, a tdiCS gene, a tdiDS gene, a tdiES gene, an sfpS gene, an ScCKS gene, and an AtIPKS gene with nucleotide sequences set forth in SEQ ID NOS:1 to 8. In the present disclosure, a recombinant engineered strain capable of producing terrequinone A having anti-cancer activity is obtained by separately constructing recombinant plasmids pC02 and pU03 through the eight genes and transforming the two recombinant plasmids into E. coli. The content of terrequinone A in a fermentation broth thereof is 106.3 mg/L, which has potential application value in the biopharmaceutical field.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 24, 2023Publication date: March 28, 2024Inventors: Yongsheng TIAN, Lijuan WANG, Yongdong DENG, Quanhong YAO, Rihe PENG, Jianjie GAO, Zhenjun LI, Wenhui ZHANG, Bo WANG, Jing XU, Yu WANG, Xiaoyan FU, Hongjuan HAN

Patent number: 9358055Abstract: Techniques are generally described related to a method and system for treating an injury with a bone screw. One example bone screw may be configured to fracture at a pre-selected frangible location so that the point of failure is not in an inaccessible location, e.g., deeply embedded below the surface of a treated bone. The bone screw may further include a material disposed over the frangible location that is designed to temporarily strengthen the screw and selected to be absorbed by the body over a period of time after installation of the screw in the bone. One example bone screw may include an unthreaded portion that is configured to facilitate removal of an embedded screw fragment from a bone in the event that the screw fails in vivo.Type: GrantFiled: May 27, 2014Date of Patent: June 7, 2016Assignee: TONGJI UNIVERSITYInventors: Liming Cheng, Yan Yu, Zhili Zeng, Wei Xu, Yongwei Jia, Lie Qian, Rui Zhu, Jianjie Wang, Zhourui Wu

Patent number: 8992577Abstract: A rod system includes two rods each with a head and a shaft, two elastic members each fitted around one shaft against one head, and a case defining a first inner portion, a second inner portion, and a third inner portion in communication with the first and the second inner portions. A first rod with a first elastic member is seated in the first inner portion so the first elastic member abuts the bottom of first inner portion and the first head protrudes into the third inner portion. A second rod and a second elastic member is seated in the second portion so the second elastic member abuts the bottom of the second inner portion and the second head protrudes into the third inner portion and abuts the first head.Type: GrantFiled: March 13, 2014Date of Patent: March 31, 2015Assignee: Tongji UniversityInventors: Liming Cheng, Yan Yu, Zhili Zeng, Wei Xu, Yongwei Jia, Lie Qian, Rui Zhu, Jianjie Wang, Zhourui Wu
