  • Patent number: 10076310
Abstract: An occlusion and/or reopening of an artery of a body caused by a changing pressure applied on the artery is detected. The systolic blood pressure of an artery of a body is also measured. A Doppler Ultrasound transducer attached to the exterior of the body outputs a blood flow signal indicative of a change of the blood flow in the artery caused by the changing pressure. At least one variable of a first variable indicative of the magnitude of the blood flow and a second variable indicative of the periodicity of the blood flow is derived from the blood flow signal. The occlusion and/or reopening of the artery is detected on the basis of the at least one variable. In this way, the occlusion/reopening of the artery can be detected automatically. Since the need to manually detect the occlusion and reopening of the artery by listening with a stethoscope or a Doppler probe is eliminated, the detecting result is more predictable and repeatable, and therefore also more accurate.

  • Publication number: 20140180114
Abstract: This invention provides a method and a device for detecting occlusion and/or reopening of an artery of a body caused by a changing pressure applied on the artery as well as a system for measuring the systolic blood pressure of an artery of a body. The method comprises the steps of: obtaining a blood flow signal indicative of a change of the blood flow in the artery caused by the changing pressure, using a Doppler Ultrasound transducer attached to the exterior of the body; deriving, from the blood flow signal, at least one variable of a first variable indicative of the magnitude of the blood flow and a second variable indicative of the periodicity of the blood flow; and detecting the occlusion and/or reopening of the artery on the basis of the at least one variable. In this way, the occlusion/reopening of the artery can be detected automatically.

  • Publication number: 20100157752
Abstract: The present invention provides a method and apparatus for optical disc writing. The method provided by the present invention comprises steps: acquiring the writing history information of the optical disc, wherein the data storage area of the optical disc is divided into several writing areas by starting address and ending address of each writing in the history information; selecting a writing area from the plurality of writing areas for the current optical disc writing; determining the write strategy for the optical disc adopted by the current writing for writing the optical disc; and updating the writing history information of the optical disc. According to the method provided by the present invention, the appropriate area can be selected to carry out the optical disc writing, so that the life cycle shortening of the optical disc due to the over-usage of partial recording areas will be avoided, furthermore, the appropriate write strategy can be determined to improve the optical disc writing effects.

  • Publication number: 20090262616
Abstract: A method and apparatus for determining the parameters for disc recording is provided. For those discs that haven't pre-stored recording information or have pre-stored recording information not meeting the quality requirement, according to the method of the present invention, set the initial values of record strategy parameters firstly, then perform disc recording test with a group of parameters that have close relevancy among each other according to the method designed in the experiment, and finally determine the relationship between each optimal parameters and the optical disc recording quality, so that optimal parameters value corresponding to each parameter can be obtained for disc recording. According to the present invention, the optimal disc recording parameters can be determined within the limited time and limited space of disc recording test.

  • Publication number: 20080267027
Abstract: The present invention provides a method and apparatus for optimizing optical disc writing strategy. The method for optimizing optical disc writing strategy comprises the steps of obtaining the information concerning whether said area to be written has experienced any writing before; searching for an area that has the corresponding information in the writing optimization area on said optical disc; and performing writing test on said area that has the corresponding information to optimize and determine an optical disc writing strategy for writing said optical disc. The method and apparatus could not only reduce the difference between the optical disc writing strategy and the real optical disc writing condition as much as possible, but also lower the requirement on the optical disc writing equipment and the cost, and could be easily realized.

  • Publication number: 20080259757
Abstract: The present invention discloses a method of adjusting writing parameters, comprising the steps of testing a region to be written in a re-writeable optical disc without changing writing power level; calculating writing parameters in the region to be written based on the tested result; and adjusting writing parameters based on the calculated result. According to embodiments of the present invention, the direct over writing compatibility problem can be resolved. Moreover, power level adjusting is kept unchanged so as to avoid possible damage to direct over writing cycleability.

  • Publication number: 20080056084
Abstract: In accordance with the invention, upon insertion of an optical disc into a player/recorder system, the system attempts to recognize the disc and read data from the disc. Any error causing failure of a startup procedure will be detected. If a reading error is detected, the disc is rotated by an angle for minimizing the impacts due to the reading error. Then the data is read again from the disc. If a reading error is still detected, the procedure is repeated for a few times to minimize the reading errors. The rotational angle of the disc may be either preset or calculated by the system based on measured eccentricity values. In this way, the combined eccentricity, i.e., the distance from the spiral groove center of the disc to the system's rotational axis, can be minimized, and the ability of the system to read an optical disc during the startup procedure can be significantly improved.
