Abstract: A computational search method for retrieving computer information related to a query includes transforming a plurality of candidate answers to candidate answer recurrent binary embedding (RBE) embeddings using a trained RBE model. A query is transformed to a query RBE embedding using the trained RBE model. The query RBE embedding is compared to each candidate answer RBE embedding of a plurality of candidate answer RBE embeddings using a similarity function. The candidate answers are sorted based on the comparisons made using the similarity function, and returning a plurality of the top candidate answers.

Abstract: An approach for index B-tree page creation associated with linear sequential insertions in database management systems (DBMS). A linear pre-splitter receives a current index leaf page for linear sequential insertion. The linear pre-splitter asynchronously creates index leaf pages where the current index leaf page is in a predetermined position at least one page away from a last index leaf page. The linear pre-splitter updates index leaf page position identifiers associated with the index leaf pages where the index leaf page position identifiers link the index leaf pages and the last index leaf page and the linear pre-splitter inserts index leaf page identifiers and index key metadata associated with each of the index leaf pages into index non-leaf pages.

Abstract: Datasets may be characterized by patterns. The patterns may be caused or otherwise influenced by external factors, such as temporal, meteorological, and/or system factors. The external factors, as well as the patterns which result in the data values of the dataset because of the external factors, may provide for techniques used to account for missing data elements, outlier data elements and/or otherwise cleanse the dataset. New elements may be generated to provide for the missing data elements, and derivative datasets may be generated based on one or more cleansed datasets.

Abstract: An order processing system includes a computing device, which includes a processor and a storage device storing computer executable code. The computer executable code, when executed at the processor, is configured to: receive an order, determine a cool-down period of the order based on a cost function, and dispatch the order to a warehouse platform when the cool-down period expires. The cost function takes into account at least a waste cost due to process by the warehouse platform according to the order in case of possible cancellation of the order after the cool-down period and a delay cost due to delayed dispatching of the order to the warehouse platform by the cool-down period. The cool-down period is determined as one that minimizes the cost function in a prescribed range.

Abstract: This disclosure provides a method for two-dimensional indication in viewing contents. The method comprises in one embodiment displaying a content page in a content display window, wherein at least one of length and width of the content page exceeds the size of the content display window. The method further comprises in one embodiment displaying indicators located at four corners of the content display window, wherein each of the indicators indicates the size of part of the content page that is outside the corresponding corner of the content display window. The method further comprises in one embodiment in response to detecting a user operation that moves the content page relative to the content display window, changing each of the indicators to reflect the current size of part of the content page that is outside the corresponding corner of the content display window.

The method is performed by a cloud service provider, and may include determining that a working state of a first virtual machine satisfies a condition for adding a virtual machine, determining, according to an emergency policy corresponding to a first application running on the first virtual machine, a second application that has an emergency relationship with the first application, and instructing a second virtual machine on which the second application is hosted to run the first application deployed on the second virtual machine, creating a third virtual machine, deploying and starting the first application on the third virtual machine, and instructing the second virtual machine to stop running the first application after the first application is started on the third virtual machine.

Abstract: A hardhat shell has a suspension that is secured to the shell by a hanger. The suspension has a horizontal band portion for extending around a user's head, and the suspension is positioned within a hardhat shell. At least one hanger is connected to the suspension for securing the suspension to the shell. Each hanger has a hook at a first end of the hanger, a latching surface located towards the middle of the hanger, and a lever arm at a second end of the hanger. At least one mount is formed on the inner surface of the shell. Each hanger is configured to securely engage a respective one of the mounts, with the latching surface of the respective hanger being in frictional engagement with the respective ledge surface of the mount. By manually pivoting the hanger, a user can cause the latching surface to disengage from the ledge surface.

Abstract: Allocating free space in a database table. Statistics associated with records in a database are received, including an average record byte size for records stored in the database table. A primary free space byte size for record updates is determined, including comparing a preliminary free space byte size to the average record byte size and a byte size of a record subjected to a database operation. Based on the primary free space byte size, free space at the page level of the database table is allocated.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention provide computer-implemented methods, computer systems and computer program products. According to one embodiment of the present invention, an index of a database is obtained, where the index includes at least one node associated with index information of at least one old data entry that has been deleted from the database, and the node is marked as invalid. Then, a node included in the index is selected based on a key value in index information of a new data entry in response to the new data entry being inserted into the database. Next, the selected node is updated with the index information of the new data entry.

Generally, the harness may comprise at least one shoulder strap and a plurality of attachments configured to attach the at least one shoulder strap to the breathable air system. Additionally, the plurality of attachments may allow the breathable air system to be configured into a plurality of strap configurations. For example, the plurality of strap configurations may include a hip configuration, a waist configuration, a leg configuration, and/or a back configuration. In some configurations, an additional/accessory strap may be used to more securely carry the breathable air system in the plurality of strap configurations.
