  • Patent number: 8684317
Abstract: A railroad switch point roller mechanism utilized with a rail, a moveable point and a ground supported tie. The mechanism includes a roller or wheel which turns relative to a wheel axis. A wheel support is also employed and holds the wheel relative to the ground supported tie. The support connects to the moveable point, such that the lateral movement of the wheel relative to the ground supported tie takes place when the moveable point travels laterally relative to the rail. An adjustor is also included for finely determining the up or down position of the wheel relative to the tie and the wheel support.

  • Patent number: 8480008
Abstract: An apparatus for supporting a switch controller to a rail tie utilizing a frame. The frame extends along the rail tie and includes a platform which is spaced from one rail and cantilevered relative to the tie. • Patent number: 8341851
Abstract: An apparatus for indicating the position of a point detector bar having an outer surface and linked to a moveable point associated with a fixed rail utilizing a probe. The probe is moveable to contact and ride on the outer surface of the point detector bar. A housing is connected to the probe and is moveable toward point detector bar also. A leg is positioned relative to the housing to form a unit. The leg is moveable within and relative to the housing when the probe contacts a certain portion of the outer surface of the point detector bar. A driver is linked to the leg and the housing unit and moves the housing and connected probe toward the point detector bar. A signal generator alerts the relative movement between the housing and leg within the housing and the probe contacts a certain portion of the outer surface of the point detector bar which may take the form of an enlarged diameter area.

  • Patent number: 7699272
Abstract: A railroad switching indicator apparatus for use with a point detector bar, and a point locking rod which cooperatively locks with a locking bar. First and second point detector bar receptors generate first and second signals indicating the first and second terminal movements of the point detector bar. At the same time, a point lock rod receptor generates another signal indicating the locking of the locking bar with the point locking rod.

  • Publication number: 20030199531
Abstract: YIGSR peptidomimetics and methods for making and using the same are provided. The subject YIGSR peptidomimetics are non-peptidic, biodegradation-resistant molecules that mimic the pentapeptide tyrosine-isoleucine-glycine-serine-arginine (YIGSR) binding site for the 67 kiloDalton (kDa) laminin binding protein (LBP). The subject peptidomimetics include a rigid or substantially rigid non-peptidic scaffold that effectively presents or positions a tyrosine or tyrosine-like group, an isoleucine or isoleucine-like group, a serine or serine-like group, and an arginine or arginine-like group in substantially the same manner as occurs in the YIGSR peptide itself. The subject peptidomimetics find use in a variety of different applications, including diagnostic and therapeutic applications.

  • Patent number: 6247714
Abstract: A recumbent cycling apparatus is provided that includes a frame structure, wheels rotatably attached to supporting the frame structure, and a central frame element configured to absorb and reduce the forces transmitted through the frame structure to a user. The frame structure has a front frame section and a back frame section that are substantially parallel to the ground. The central frame element is a curved elongated member composed of chromoly steel that is attached to the front frame section and the back frame section and extends therebetween. The central frame element is configured to allow the front frame section and the back frame section to move substantially independently in response forces exerted on the wheels. The central frame element is disposed in a substantially vertical plane above the back frame section and the front frame section and is substantially perpendicular thereto. A pair of recumbent seats are mounted on the back frame section in a side-by-side relationship.
