Patent number: 5823353Abstract: This invention provides a transparent plastic business card holder 10 that can be converted to a desktop display case. There is provided a base member 16 having a back wall 18 and top, left and side walls 20, 22 and 24, respectively, to partially form a framed enclosure for the back wall 18. A front wall 26 equipped with a trough assembly 40 extends laterally across the face of the front wall 26 between the left and right side walls 42 and 44, respectively, of the trough assembly. The front wall member is hinged to the base member so that the base member can be rotated three-fourths of a full circle to expose the trough assembly 40 outside the base member to display the card members 12. In the closed position the front wall member 26 is latched to the back wall 18 by means of a latched device 14. The trough assembly is equipped with a lip member 54 that is slidably replaceable and on which may be imprinted informational indicia.Type: GrantFiled: July 3, 1996Date of Patent: October 20, 1998Assignee: Perrin Manufacturing CompanyInventors: Patrick C. Patent number: 5370336Abstract: Dispenser apparatus for sequentially dispensing web material from a plurality of coreless rolls includes a support with a housing having a dispensing opening. A coreless roll holder is slidably positioned in channels formed in the support and includes a frame and coreless roll support shafts connected to the frame at spaced locations, each coreless roll support shaft for insertion into a central aperture of a coreless roll for supporting the coreless roll. The coreless roll holder moves between alternate locations relative to the support to provide selective manual access to the coreless rolls for dispensing. A lock retains the coreless roll holder in one of the locations until a coreless roll is depleted from one of the coreless roll support shafts and the coreless roll holder will automatically move to the second location under the influence of gravity.Type: GrantFiled: June 4, 1993Date of Patent: December 6, 1994Assignee: James River Paper Company, Inc.Inventor: Jimmie L. Whittington

Patent number: 5370339Abstract: Apparatus for dispensing web material from a coreless roll of such material includes a fixed shaft having a spindle rotatably mounted thereon. The spindle is axially movable relative to the shaft. The spindle includes at least one dog which is cammed outwardly when the spindle is moved axially relative to the shaft to tightly engage the innermost convolution of a coreless roll mounted on the shaft and spindle to resist endwise removal of the coreless roll.Type: GrantFiled: December 1, 1993Date of Patent: December 6, 1994Assignee: James River Paper Company, Inc.Inventors: John R. Moody, Jimmie L. Whittington

Patent number: 5310129Abstract: Apparatus for sequentially dispensing web material from a plurality of rolls of the webbed material. The apparatus includes a support having a housing with an opening. A roll holder is rotatably mounted on the support. The roll holder includes at least three spaced roll support shafts which are inserted into rolls. The roll holder and rolls are maintained in an unbalanced condition to sequentially present the rolls at a dispensing position under the influence of gravity.Type: GrantFiled: May 17, 1993Date of Patent: May 10, 1994Assignee: James River Paper Company, Inc.Inventors: Jimmie L. Whittington, Patrick C. Perrin

Patent number: 5125548Abstract: A paper towel dispenser cabinet including a rigid, metallic bottom plate of unitary construction connected to walls of the dispenser. The bottom plate improves the structural integrity of the dispenser cabinet and operates as a heat sink in the event paper toweling passing through an aperture in the bottom plate is ignited so that flame is extinguished before damaging the housing interior.Type: GrantFiled: January 22, 1991Date of Patent: June 30, 1992Assignee: James River CorporationInventors: Patrick C. Perrin, Jimmie L. Whittington

Patent number: 4157703Abstract: An improved toy air gun is disclosed comprising a generally parabolic barrel having a muzzle opening at the truncated apex of the parabola. A handle and trigger mechanism are attached to the barrel exterior opposite the muzzle. A resilient diaphragm is mounted transversely of the barrel interior. Cocking means for grasping, stretching and locking the diaphragm rearwardly is provided on the gun. The trigger mechanism releases the diaphragm from the locked rearward stretched position to cause a puff of air to issue from the muzzle opening. A screen is mounted within the barrel between the muzzle opening and the diaphragm. An auxiliary cone is circumferentially attached by mounting ribs about the muzzle opening. The anterior end of the auxiliary cone has an opening of a diameter about equal to the muzzle opening. The auxiliary cone provides a circumferential opening around the muzzle having an area about equal to the area of the muzzle opening.Type: GrantFiled: April 24, 1978Date of Patent: June 12, 1979Assignee: WHAM-O Mfg.
