  • Publication number: 20030062324
Abstract: The oil-water separator includes a tank defining an enclosed volume. The oil and water mixture is introduced into the enclosed volume by a length of coalescing pipe that causes the oil to coalesce together and separate from the water. In the enclosed volume, the oil floats on top of the water. To discharge the water from the enclosed volume while retaining the oil, an outlet is provided in a lower region of the enclosed volume that the oil cannot access.
