  • Patent number: 11934014
Abstract: A color-light generation system includes a light source emitting first and second area light beams, a reflective grating receiving the first and second area light beams and then generating first and second area reflected light beams, an array optical switch including first and second areas receiving the first and second area reflected light beams respectively, a light mixer including a light mixer first area and a light mixer second area receiving a light beam from the first area and a light beam from the second area respectively, and a controller electrically connected to the array optical switch and controlling the array optical switch, so that the light mixer first area outputs a first color light, and the light mixer second area outputs a second color light. A method of using the system is also provided.

  • Patent number: 10222259
Abstract: An optical probe has a connecting part, a carrier, multiple optical fibers, and a lens hood. The carrier is inserted in the connecting part. The carrier has two opposite ends and a channel. The channel extends to the two opposite ends of the carrier. The multiple optical fibers are inserted in the channel of the carrier. The lens hood is connected to the connecting part. The multiple optic fibers inserted inside the channel are able to cover various orientations of oscillations of polarized light, promote accuracy of inspection result, and save a lot of time from repeated measuring.

  • Publication number: 20030168613
Abstract: A multi-layer optical interference filter deposited by using only one starting coating material includes the steps of (a) providing a substrate in a vacuum chamber for deposition, and using an indirect monitoring method to monitor the formation of the thickness of deposition; (b) providing a silicon material in the vacuum chamber, and then using an electron beam gun to perform an evaporation treatment, producing silicon atoms for deposition; (c) guiding a gas mixture into the vacuum chamber to produce free ions for ion assisted deposition (IAD) and for combing with silicon atoms, and regulating the deposition rate to establish deposition parameters; and (d) using the deposition parameters thus obtained to establish a refractive index database, and then deriving the desired deposition parameters subject to the desired refractive index for deposition, so as to deposit the substrate into the desired multi-layer optical interference film product.

  • Patent number: 6425987
Abstract: A new technique is provided using only one coating material (pure silicon) to deposit thin films in a high vacuum, and using an ion source with a working gas (or gases) to control the refractive index of the thin film. This new technique can deposit different kinds of optical thin films with different refractive indices or gradient-indices and make different kinds of multilayer interference filters without opening the vacuum chamber during the process. The way of evaporation or sputtering of the coating material or target uses “electron beam evaporation”, “DC or RF magnetron sputtering”, or “ion beam sputtering”, etc. The way of controlling the refractive index of the film involves mixing Ar with O2 and N2 or just the mixture of N2 or O2, and feeding the gases into the ion source, as shown in FIG. 1 and FIG. 2. The amount of gas and the way of feeding are controlled by computer software.
