    Abstract: A wireless terminal and a radio frequency identification system for providing additional information and a method of providing additional information using the wireless terminal and the radio frequency identification system. The wireless terminal includes: a tag reader reading tag data from a radio frequency identification tag; a controller generating an additional information request signal with respect to the read tag data; and a communication network interface transmitting the additional information request signal through a communication network and receiving additional information with respect to the additional information request signal. Since the controller of the wireless terminal controls the radio frequency identification reader by optimally setting the information required for determining the time point for the radio frequency identification reader tag to respond, and utilizing the stored address of the additional information providing server, the additional information can be efficiently provided.

    Abstract: A method and system for enhancing a voice channel in voice over Internet protocol includes an integrated access device (IAD) that receives voice data from user devices, removes RTP/UDP header and IP header information, and generates an AAL2 CPS cell. A Registration, Administration and Status (RAS) server receives the AAL2 CPS cell, removes the AAL2 information and adds an RTP/UDP header and IP header, such that an IP packet is output for Internet transport. The RAS server can also receive an IP packet and convert the IP packet to an AAL2 CPS cell, to be transported to the IAD. The RAS performs the conversion in accordance with header data received from the IAD that is stored in, and removed from, a lookup table in response to command signals sent by the IAD. Thus, the asymmetric digital subscriber line (ADSL) handles an increased number of calls, and at an increased efficiency.

    Abstract: A method for removing a noise of a communication system, and more particularly, a method for removing switching noise generated during connecting and disconnecting a channel is provided. A method for removing switching noise during the start of communications includes the steps of calling a desired receiver by dialing the number of the desired receiver at a transmitter, connecting a channel of the receiver when the desired receiver responds to the call, muting a speaker of the receiver for a predetermined time after connecting the channel between the desired receiver and the transmitter, and connecting a channel of the transmitter after lapse of the predetermined time. Accordingly, the influence of the switching noise of the communication start and end is reduced by muting the respective transmitting and receiving terminals for the time interval generated during connecting and disconnecting the channel between the terminals.
