Publication number: 20150274124Abstract: A vehicular starting device includes: a rotor configured to turn around a rotational axis at least between an on-position that causes a power unit of a vehicle to start and an off-position that causes the power unit to stop, the rotor being configured to slide in a rotational axial direction, an operator configured to operate the rotor, a range switching unit configured to switch a running state of the vehicle between a forward movement position that allows the vehicle to move forward and a backward movement position that allows the vehicle to move backward, and an acting member configured to cause the range switching unit to switch the running state with a slide movement of the rotor.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 24, 2015Publication date: October 1, 2015Inventor: Jin YUKIHARA

Patent number: 7603881Abstract: In a glove box device, a cylinder is fixed to an operating handle, a slide member switches between a locking state and an unlocking state in correspondence to sliding motion, and a connecting member is interposed between one end of the slide member and a rotor. The connecting member transmits a turning force of the rotor turning along with the operating handle to the slide member, to move the slide member from a locking position to an unlocking position when the rotor is in the unlocking position. The connecting member cuts off the transmission of turning force between the slide member in the locking position and the rotor, when the rotor is in the locking position. Thus, it is possible to reduce the number of components needed, and also to reduce a gap between a design face of the operating handle and the cylinder lock, thereby improving the appearance.Type: GrantFiled: October 12, 2006Date of Patent: October 20, 2009Assignee: Kabushiki Kaisha Honda LockInventors: Jin Yukihara, Takuya Miyagawa

Patent number: 7363787Abstract: A steering lock system with a control knob for a vehicle, comprises: a cylinder rotatably carried in a stationary housing; a rotor relatively rotatably inserted into the cylinder and having a key hole into which a mechanical key can be inserted; and a control knob mounted on the rotor. In the steering lock system, the control knob comprises: a knob body fixed to the rotor and having a key guide hole for guiding the insertion of the mechanical key into the key hole; and a knob cap detachably mounted to the knob body to cover the entire knob body in such a manner that its outer surface forms a design face.Type: GrantFiled: February 18, 2005Date of Patent: April 29, 2008Assignees: Honda Motor Co., Ltd., Kabushiki Kaisha Honda LockInventors: Jin Yukihara, Mikihiko Kawase, Kazunaga Kasai

Publication number: 20070114809Abstract: In a glove box device, a cylinder of a cylinder lock is fixed to an operating handle, a slide member switches over a locking state and an unlocking state of a locking mechanism in correspondence to sliding motion, and a connecting member is interposed between one end of the slide member and a rotor of the cylinder lock. The connecting member transmits a turning force of the rotor turning along with the operating handle to the slide member so as to cause the slide member to slide from a locking operation position to an unlocking operation position when the rotor is in the unlocking position, but the connecting member cuts off the transmission of the turning force between the slide member in the locking operation position and the rotor when the rotor is in the locking position. Thus, it is possible to reduce the number of components to simplify the structure, thereby reducing the cost and improving the operational feeling.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 12, 2006Publication date: May 24, 2007Applicant: Kabushiki Kaisha Honda LockInventors: Jin Yukihara, Takuya Miyagawa

Patent number: 6880374Abstract: In a steering lock device wherein engagement and disengagement of a lock pin to and from a steering shaft can be selected by the rotation of a rotor, the steering lock device comprises: interlocking structure provided between a cylinder body and a joint so that when the cylinder body is pulled out from a housing, the interlocking structure causes the joint to move in an axial direction together with the cylinder body; an axial movement preventing member disposed in the housing so as to be moveable in a direction perpendicular to the axis of the joint to engage the joint and thereby prevent the axial movement of the joint when the joint is pulled out a predetermined distance; and a rotation preventing portion provided to the housing so as to engage an outer circumferential surface of the joint to thereby prevent rotation of the joint in a state that the axial movement preventing member engages the joint.Type: GrantFiled: August 8, 2003Date of Patent: April 19, 2005Assignee: Kabushiki Kaisha Honda LockInventors: Jin Yukihara, Katsusada Okusu, Tatsuro Yamashita

Patent number: 6881173Abstract: A vehicular engine starting system is provided in which a key cannot be removed from a key hole unless a shift lever is shifted to a parking position, the system including a pivot shaft having a cam surface that abuts against a blocking lever in response to movement of the pivot shaft from a LOCK position to an ACC position. The cam surface is formed into a shape that can move the blocking lever to an engaged position against a spring force of a return spring in response to movement of the pivot shaft from the ACC position toward an ON position. A plunger and the blocking lever are operatively connected so that the plunger is moved toward a retracted position in response to movement of the blocking lever from a disengaged position to the engaged position. Thus, the current consumption and heat generation of the solenoid can be suppressed in engaging the block lever with the pivot shaft in order to prevent the block lever from turning from the ACC position to the LOCK position.Type: GrantFiled: February 21, 2003Date of Patent: April 19, 2005Assignee: Kabushiki Kaisha Honda LockInventors: Masahiko Harada, Jin Yukihara, Nobuo Watarai
