The structural complexity and the length of the downhole imaging measurement instrument can be reduced, and feature recognition can be directly performed on the imaging data underground.

    Abstract: Pressure sensitive adhesive (PSA) compositions that include at least one urethane (meth)acrylate oligomer having a molecular weight between about 2,000 g/mol and about 50,000 g/mol and an OH number of from 0.01 mg KOH/g to 100 mg KOH/g, at least one mono (meth)acrylate functional monomer and at least one tackifying resin. The PSA systems may also optionally include other additives, such as at least one initiator system that includes at least one photo-initiator or free radical initiator. The PSA systems are liquid at a temperature of 25° C.±2° C. with a viscosity of 15,000 cPs or less and are adapted to form smooth, uniform coatings or films upon curing without the application of heat, whereby the resulting films have advantageous properties with respect to peel strength, tack and shear resistance. In embodiments, the PSA systems include less than 1 wt % of solvent and less than 1 wt % of water or are free of solvent and are free of water.

The coating compositions may also optionally include at least one photo-initiator, adhesion promoter, pigment, dye and/or plasticizer. The coating compositions may be hardened, after application, by curing by exposure to radiant energy, by exposure to electron beam radiation, by exposure to heat, by exposure to chemicals and combinations thereof. Upon hardening, the coating composition typically has two phases, a soft phase which has a Tg between ?50° C. and 0° C. and a hard phase which has a Tg between 60° C. and 120° C. Methods of using the coating compositions are also described.

    Abstract: Visible light actually emitted by a light emitting diode (LED) at a point source is perceived by a viewer of that LED to be sufficiently diffuse to hide the point source. A panel between the LED and the viewer is made from a mixture of polyvinyl halide polymer in a continuous phase and visible light refracting polymeric particles in a discontinuous phase. The polyvinyl halide has a refractive index different from the particles, and both have a different refractive index from air. Optical refraction causes the diffusion, providing “hiding power” to the panel, which is beneficially, inherently flame retardant because of the use of the polyvinyl halide as the continuous phase.

    Abstract: A direct Fuel Cell is based on organic liquid hydrogen storage materials, and includes a fuel cell unit connected to load through AC/DC convert circuit. The outlet and inlet of hydrogen storage materials on the fuel cell unit is connected to hydrogen storage tank through hydrogen storage output pipe and hydrogen storage input pipe, respectively. There is a pump for hydrogenated hydrogen storage materials on the hydrogenated hydrogen storage materials input pipe; the second outlet for water and gas on the fuel cell unit is connected to water tank through the second water output pipe. The water and gas inlet on the fuel cell unit is connected with oxygen input pipe; there is a gas outlet on the top of the water tank; the hydrogen storage materials tank contains hydrogen storage materials. The mentioned hydrogen storage materials are a multi-component mixture of liquid unsaturated heterocyclic aromatics.

    Abstract: We have used the state-of-the-art computational chemistry techniques to identify adhesion promoting layer materials that provide good adhesion of copper seed layer to the adhesion promoting layer and the adhesion promoting layer to the barrier layer. We have identified factors responsible for providing good adhesion of copper layer on various metallic surfaces and circumstances under which agglomeration of copper film occur. Several promising adhesion promoting layer materials based on chromium alloys have been predicted to be able to significantly enhance the adhesion of copper films. Chromium containing complexes of a polydentate ?-ketoiminate have been identified as chromium containing precursors to make the alloys with chromium.
