An end portion of the back waist portion on an other side in the lateral direction is joined by a second joining portion to a fastening member, and the fastening member has a fastening portion being capable of being fastened to the front waist portion when putting on the absorbent article. While the front waist portion and the back waist portion are being stretched in the lateral direction, the lateral distance of the front waist portion from the lateral center of the absorbent main body to a lateral end of the front waist portion on the other side is smaller than the lateral distance of the back waist portion from the lateral center of absorbent main body to a lateral end of the back waist portion on the other side.
